Introducing our newest tutor: Georgia!

Hi all, my name is Georgia Darnell. I graduated from Cooloola Christian College, Gympie, in 2024, where I was School captain throughout grade 12 and received an atar of 89.

I am currently studying a bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at USC, with the intention of working in paediatrics once I graduate. I am based in Caloundra, although i am happy to travel up to half an hour for a location that suits you (in person only). Able to do Math, English or Science in any Primary grade.

Available at various times Monday to Thursday. Looking forward to meeting you 😁.

Hello! My name is Kenya Woodborne and I am a first year student at the University of Sydney studying a Bachelor of Arts/Advanced Studies, with a double major in International Relations and English. I graduated in 2023 from Sunshine Coast Grammar School with an ATAR of 95.25 and was awarded Top Student in both Literature and Literature Extension. I also ranked 1st in Queensland for these two subjects. I primarily focus on tutoring English studies; however, I also offer senior General Mathematics and Biology tutoring too. Since I am currently living in Sydney, I am only able to tutor online.

Hi everyone! My name is Ruby Abbott, and I’m currently in my first year studying a double degree of Design and Business at QUT, majoring in Industrial design and Behavioural Economics. Last year, I graduated from Sunshine Coast Grammar School with a high ATAR, full marks on nearly all my external and internal assessments, and received early entry offers from multiple universities.
My academic passions are Japanese, Design, Literature and Visual art, being involved in clubs and competitions as well as several trips to Japan during and after graduating high school.
I am happy to tutor Literature, Japanese, Visual Art (theory) and Design for all school levels, but can also help with Biology and Mathematics at a lower level if needed.
I am based in Buderim, and I’m happy to travel anywhere within a 20 mins driving range, meeting in public places, at homes, or online via zoom.

Introducing another one of our fabulous tutors: Sophie Mills!

Hi everyone, my name is Sophie Mills and I am currently on a gap year before starting a Bachelor of Dietetics at UniSC next year. I graduated in 2023 from Sunshine Coast Grammar School with a n ATAR of 94.45, top of music extension and was Music Captain.
I primarily tutor in Biology as I received full marks for all of my internal assessment and a 48/50 on my external exam. I can also tutor for Music and Music Extension if needed.
I am also a primary tutor with current experience tutoring years 2 to 6.
I am based in Palmwoods and can commute anywhere within a 30 minute driving range.

Ella graduated from Sunshine Coast Grammar in 2021 as Vice Captain and is now studying her double degree of Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is also working on her Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainable Living at the University of Tasmania. Her majors are Ecology and Creative Writing, so she primarily tutors biology and any level of english, and occasionally tutors history. She thoroughly enjoys working with students of all ages, backgrounds, and learning requirements, and she is available for both long-term tutoring or one-off sessions for checking assessment pieces before submission or for exam preparation. Because of her studies, she is based in Sippy Downs and can do in-person or online.

My name is Kate McShane

I am currently in my first year at UniSC studying a double degree in Psychology and Counselling following a gap year teaching English in Germany and Japan.

I graduated in 2022 from Scotch Oakburn College in Tasmania with an atar of 99.45.

I primarily tutor high school maths up to grade 10, can also tutor other subjects including Health, Sport Science, Japanese, Sociology and English at varying levels.

I am based in Sippy Downs and happy to travel anywhere within a 15 mins driving range, however I prefer sessions at the University library or online where possible.

Good news! We have a new group of tutors and as a result have some new availability in the following areas:

- In-person primary tutoring (Palmwoods, Woombye, Nambour, Bli Bli, Buderim, Caloundra etc)
-In-person and online middle school tutoring (Coolum down to around Caloundra and in to Mooloolah Valley)

Senior maths and science (methods level predominantly but also occasional specialist and chemistry/biology for the majority of the time)

Hi everyone, my name is Dani Saxena.

I’m currently studying Bachelor of Medical Science with a direct entry to Medicine at the University of Sunshine Coast.
Last year, I graduated from QASMT (Queensland Academy of Science, Mathematics and Technology) with an ATAR of 99.80.

I tutor a range of subjects online or in-person at the University. These subjects include: Biology, Chemistry, Maths Methods, Psychology, English and Spanish.

I can work with both primary school and high school students and I also have experience with the IB (International Baccalaureate program), and can assist in editing assignments.
