Today the Kindy children continued working on their self-portraits 🌸

‘During group time, we talked about what makes us who we are—not only our hair colour or eye colour, but the things we love and the things we enjoy doing’

The children then set off to draw and create their portraits, focusing on who they are and not just what they look like 🌸

This experience supports Erikson’s theory of identity development, helping children recognise that they are more than just a face and that their individuality matters.

Thank you all for a truly unforgettable year filled with fun, laughter, love, cherished memories, and amazing achievements!

Today we got to celebrate our amazing director, Alanna, as she gets ready to head off on maternity leave! 💛

Alanna is truly one of a kind — the most calm, dedicated, and passionate leader we could ever ask for. We had the best day showering her with love, laughs, and all the good wishes as she begins this new chapter!

We are going to miss her so much, but we’re beyond happy for her and can’t wait to see her step into this beautiful journey of motherhood. 💕👶

🌿 Nature Play Magic! ✨

Nursery 2 children exploring a nature-themed sensory tray filled with different textures and a few favourite Australian animals. The children loved touching, discovering, and connecting with nature through hands-on sensory play! 🍃

Here, the natural world ignites our imaginations. It inspires awe. And it grows a better future for us all. Because to care for nature, we must first understand it. - UNA philosophy 🪴

Thank you to Joel and Fran for all the wonderfull food, to our amaizng educator Makayla for staying back and taking beautiful photos and videos, to our managment team who put together an incredible display and organised all the behind the scenes things, to all our families who attended and to all the educators and children who helped out and watched the kindy children practise!

In Kindy, children have had the most amazing hands-on learning experience as they watched baby quails hatch and emerge from their shells!

Each day, they observe, discuss, and explore this incredible new journey of life with curiosity and wonder!

As Jerome Bruner says - “Discovery learning is learning by doing and thinking.”

Today, we had a special visit from the Sunshine Coast Council! 🪴

Here the children enjoyed a hands on learning experience as they discussed the importance of caring for our environment through a fun program called “Ready Steady Recycle.”

It was a fun, hands-on experience that sparked lots of curiosity and great conversations about how we can all help look after our planet! 🌎✨

What a great opportunity our team got to experience at our first UNA conference! ⭐️

Anthony Semann was truely inspiring to listen to! He spoke passionately and dove deep into the meaning of understanding children’s behaviours and emotions as well as discussing meaningful documentation ⭐️

Thank you Vicky for organising a great event! We definatley all walked away inspired!
