Our toddlers have been thoroughly enjoying our pouring and scooping experiences, revisiting them over several days as they explore, practice, and refine their skills.
These simple yet meaningful activities support children's development by strengthening fine motor skills, encouraging independence and self-help abilities, building concentration and problem-solving skills, and enhancing hand-eye coordination. Most importantly, they foster confidence as children experience the joy of saying, "I can do it myself!" ✨
The Creek Early Learning
Everything we do, we believe in striving to provide the highest quality early childhood Open 25th January 2021
Our nursery children enjoyed squeezing sponges and watching the water flow. This experience supports the trajectory schema, as children explore movement, cause and effect, and the outcomes of their actions through repeated play.
While having fun, they are also developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. ✨💦
Every Tuesday the children of The Creek enjoy Music and Movement lesson with Coach Brendan and Koala. Through singing, dancing, and engaging musical activities, children explore rhythm, beat, and movement in a fun and interactive way 🎶

Our littlest learners have been busy exploring paint using a variety of different brushes! Through this sensory-rich experience, children were able to discover different textures, patterns, and marks while expressing their creativity. Painting experiences support fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, sensory exploration, and early creative expression 🖌️🎨

Yesterday The Creek took part in National Simultaneous Storytime, this is an annual Australian event where many children, parents and educators gather to read the book of the year - this aims to promote a love of reading and literacy.
This year the book was ‘Luna Roo - The Kangaroo Baller’ this was enjoyed by all of our children in many different ways across the day. Kindergarten read the story together along with the rest of the nation at midday whilst also engaging in the book throughout the day like our other classrooms 📚

‘You don’t see us post children’s faces anymore, how am I meant to see what they are doing?’
We don’t need to show faces to share our learning! 💫
At The Creek Early Learning, we made the conscious decision last year to stop sharing children’s faces on social media, supporting our child safe practices and helping reduce the digital footprint of our community.

The Colour Monster is a wonderful way to help children recognise, name, and talk about their emotions. Using colours and storytelling, the book supports emotional understanding and opens the door for meaningful conversations about feelings.
Bringing the story to life through role play by creating a Colour Monster house, with each room representing a different emotion and colour for children to explore through play, the children are absolutely loving this experience.
