Introducing my father, Dr John Turlik for senior maths, physics, chemistry and English tutoring!

Both my parents were dedicated educators who travelled the world teaching, before retiring to SSC.

After a very long, successful career in education as a university professor in Dubai, science/maths and ESL teacher in UK, high school Principal in Papua New Guinea & science/maths teacher in Africa & Indonesia, he misses ‘making a difference’ to young minds and isn’t quite ready to fully retire!

John’s PhD was in applied linguistics.

In John, you will find a gentle, committed, dedicated tutor who will want the best for each student. He will only be taking on a small number of students at a time.

Meet the gorgeous dogs of PCT! 🐾🐾 One of the best things about going to my students' homes is that I get to see so many wonderful dogs! Growing up in PNG, we always had 4/5 dogs at a time and they were my best friends! Dogs meet us on a soul level and I love that! 😄🐾💙

Current PCT students range from age 6 - 17.

PCT currently supports students with maths, reading, spelling, writing, OT and the preparation/proof-reading of assignments, as well as supporting home-schoolers to navigate their chosen program.

25% of PCT students are home-schoolers.
25% are high school students who receive support purely in organisation, planning and proof-reading of their schoolwork.

38% of PCT students are high school age.
62% are primary age.
31% are in Years 2 and 3.
19% are in Years 9-12.

PCT sessions take place in the family homes or the local library. 🏣

PCT listens to parents’ stories and recommends other tutors when there is no availability. There is no charge or financial benefit for this - the priority is to find support for the child.
