Meet Josh – is one of our PGA Professional coaches at Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort ⛳️

With more than 20 years in the game as a PGA Professional coach and tournament player competing across Australia, Asia, and the Pacific, Josh brings a wealth of experience competing at a high level and helping golfers of all levels improve where it matters most.

His approach is clear, practical and player-focused, helping golfers simplify the improvement process and build a game they can trust under pressure.

Drawing on his years playing professionally and his tournament success, Josh’s coaching philosophy goes beyond swing mechanics, focusing on the areas that have the biggest impact on scoring – from practice habits and course management through to building confidence on the course.

Whether you’re looking to lower your handicap, play more consistently or get more out of your practise, Josh’s experience and player-focused coaching style can help take your game from the driving range to the golf course and back again.

Josh offers on-course lessons, 1:1 lessons, beginner and intermediate clinics, junior clinics and lesson packages.

Continual learning and development are a huge part of what we do here at the academy ⛳️

Recently, our PGA Professional coaching team had the incredible opportunity of completing training on the Dual Force Plates with Dr Tyler Standifird – a Professor of Biomechanics at Utah Valley University and one of the leading researchers in golf biomechanics, ground reaction forces and clubhead speed development. Dr Standifird works with some of the best technology and performance organisations in golf, helping advance the understanding of how golfers generate speed and efficiency in the swing.

At the academy we’ve invested in Smart2Move Dual Force Plates at Peregian Springs and Noosa Springs (the only teaching facilities on the Sunshine Coast with force plates), because we want to provide the best technology to help our golfers improve.

Smart2Move Force Plates give us insight into how golfers create and transfer force throughout the swing – helping us better understand balance, pressure shifts, ground reaction forces and movement efficiency. This data allows us to coach with greater
precision and create more individualised improvement plans for our players of all levels from beginners to elite golfers.

We’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn from someone at the forefront of golf performance research. Experiences like this are invaluable in helping us continue to evolve as coaches and deliver the best possible experience for our golfers.

What a fantastic way to wrap up Term 1 👏⛳️

We’re so proud of all our junior golfers and the incredible progress they’ve made over the term. From first swings to big milestones, every player showed improvement and a great attitude.

A special congratulations to those who moved up in our coloured cap system - and an extra shoutout to our very first Navy cap graduate 🎉

Thank you to all our kids for their hard work and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see you back during the school holidays and Term 2.
