Be the first audience in Australia to see Rebound, a new Christmas romantic comedy filmed entirely in Noosa and written, directed and starring local mum Davina May Marr.

The exclusive preview screening is this Thursday 30 July, 5.30pm to 8.30pm, at the Performing Arts Centre, Sunshine Beach State High School.

It's a red carpet night with a mulled wine or glass of bubbles on arrival, cinnamon popcorn, and a live Q&A afterwards with Davina and cast members Stephen Walker and Tilly Bou, hosted by Joshua Fisk.

Rebound follows Dee, a woman in her late 30s working her way through one failed date after another, oblivious to the fact her best friend has been right there all along. It screens on Apple TV, Amazon and Stan later this year, but this is the chance to see it first.

This is an 18+ event, and $10 from every ticket goes to Sunshine Beach Primary and High Schools.

Our 10c recycling Whale Trailer was vandalised over the weekend, with both tyres stolen and the school fence cut - it's sad how low some people will go. The trailer is P&C property, not the school's, so this hits hard and is an expense we will need to bear.

So it's out of action until further notice as it's not safe to use now - you can donate your cash deposit at Containers for Change Noosa - Express Recycling on Action St, using code C10575237, or bring your containers to the 2nd hand uniform sale on a Thursday morning, 8-8.45am.

Thank you to those who support this initiative - all proceeds do directly back to funding student-led initiatives, with volunteers (parents) donating their own time to manage the scheme, for the benefit of the students. That's why we do what we do - for the kids.
