Our Nursery children enjoyed a beautiful sensory experience thanks to our teachers, who kindly brought fresh flowers from thier garden for everyone to explore.
The children gently touched the soft petals, smelled the flowers, observed the different colours, and watched with fascination as the flowers floated and moved across the water. We encouraged meaningful conversations about the flowers, introducing new vocabulary and discussing the petals as an important part of the flower.
As curiosity grew, the children carefully pulled petals from the stems and placed them into the water, observing how they floated on the surface. This hands-on exploration sparked wonder, discovery, and a deeper connection with the natural world around them.
Through this experience, the children developed:
