Today marks the beginning of a beautiful new journey as we officially welcome Little Lane Sunbury on their first day of operations! 💛

While the name may be new, rest assured — the same dedicated and passionate team from Forever Friends Sunbury remains right here, continuing to provide the high-quality care, love, and education your children have always known and cherished. 🧸✨

We are especially proud to share that our amazing Director Kristy, alongside Breda, will continue to lead our wonderful team with the same heart, dedication, and commitment that has shaped our centre into the nurturing space it is today. 💕👩‍🏫

We’re also excited to share that Little Lane Early Learning is a family-operated business with over 20 years of exceptional experience in the early childhood industry. Their strong values and deep understanding of what it takes to provide outstanding care and education align beautifully with the legacy of Forever Friends. 🌟

Our hearts are full of gratitude as we look back on the memories we’ve shared, and we’re equally excited for what lies ahead with Little Lane Sunbury. Thank you to all our beautiful families for your continued trust and support — your children will always be at the heart of everything we do. 🌈

After 16 wonderful years, today marks the end of my chapter at Forever Friends Sunbury. It’s been the most rewarding journey—one filled with love, laughter, learning, and lifelong memories.

To our beautiful families—thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting us with your precious little ones. Your support, kindness, and belief in what we do have meant the world to me. Watching your children grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I will always carry those moments with me.

To my incredible team—you are the heart of Forever Friends. Your passion, dedication, and love for our children and our community are what made this centre so special. I am endlessly proud of what we’ve built together and forever grateful to have walked this journey with such inspiring and selfless educators by my side.

A special thank you to Kristy and Breda—your unwavering loyalty, strength, and commitment have been the backbone of Forever Friends. Kristy, you’ve been with me since day one, and your heart and soul are woven into every part of our centre. Breda, your steady support and dedication never went unnoticed—I’ve always been able to count on you. I will forever cherish everything you both have given to this journey.

Though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I take comfort knowing that the Forever Friends legacy will continue to thrive in the hands of a team I deeply admire and respect.

I wish you all the very best with the new operators, Little Lane Sunbury I just know amazing things are in store for each and every one of you. Keep shining, keep growing, and keep making a difference.

Yesterday was a sad day at Forever friends as we said goodbye to Kristy from our Blossom room! Kristy has been with us for 7 years and worked in most of our rooms in various roles and we are very thankful for all her years of service! We wish her luck in her new role with her change of career and look forward to seeing her visiting!

Tonight our educators had the pleasure of attending an online session with Lucia from puppets for learning focusing on “Using Puppets for Social and Emotional Learning.” It was a great, interactive session and lots of fun to practice with the puppets!

From tiny seeds to soon to be tasty treats — our veggie patch is growing with love, laughter, and lots of muddy hands!

Yesterday our kinder children were lucky enough to visit Goonawarra primary school! The principle Mrs Giordi showed us around with one of our former kinder children Michael. We looked at the new library in the school, had a special story Unstoppable me in the auditorium, checked out the musical instruments in their music room and ran around the gym. We then had lunch in one of the classrooms, a session in their outdoor play pod and finished off with a play on the playground! Thanks Goonawarra ps for having us!

Can anyone guess where we are going today?? Some clues-we took two buses and some of the teachers went here when we were young…

Today’s adventure for our kinder children was a walk to Bunnings to buy some things for our gardens so we can grow some fresh vegetables again!
The children loved waking and discussing parts of Sunbury they visit, seeing familiar faces go past and beep and the favourite was using their own shopping lists to find things!

Forever friends has been a huge part of the sunbury community for 16 years and nothing makes us prouder than when our former students return to us all these years later for work experience or even better while they are studying early childhood themselves! This time we are lucky enough to have two former forever friends students completing their work experience with us-Gracie and Georgia and Jaida who is now studying early childhood! To say we are proud of these young ladies is an understatement and to know they enjoyed their time with us enough to come back makes our heart burst with pride but also shows what an impact we can have on a young child! Families may see lots of students at the moment as we have a number of work experiences students, a certificate three student as well as three students studying their graduate diplomas!

Yesterday some of the team had the chance to get together for a very important reason-to wish Lani the best on her maternity leave! We unfortunately didn’t get to have a big send off at the centre as Lani decided to rest a little sooner than planned but we all wish her the best and can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Forever friends family!
