It’s almost time for one of our favourite events of the year — Book Week! 📚✨

We’re so excited to celebrate all things books with a week full of fabulous activities, special events and plenty of opportunities to get lost in a great story!

Of course, it wouldn’t be Book Week without our much-loved Book Week Costume Parade! 🎭📖

It’s time to start planning those costumes! This year’s theme is ‘Symphony of Stories’, and we can’t wait to see our school community bring their favourite books, characters and stories to life. 🎶📚

Get creative, have fun and join us as we celebrate the wonderful stories that inspire, entertain and bring us together. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up and ready for our very own symphony of stories! 🌟

Year 1/2 have successfully completed their 5 day swimming program. All students had a wonderful time improving their skills and learning about safety in and around water.
Thanks to the staff at the Gisborne Aquatic Centre for your organisation and commitment to our students.
A huge thanks to our dedicated Killara staff and to the parent helpers who gave up their time to assist throughout the week. Well done everyone! 🏊‍♂️

What an incredible day for our Killara 3–6 Athletics Team!

Today our students proudly represented Killara at the District Athletics Carnival at Boardman Track, and we couldn't be prouder of the way they competed.

A special congratulations to the team on finishing first in the Small Schools Division!🏆 This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the outstanding effort, teamwork and encouragement shown throughout the day.

We are so proud of the effort, support and positive attitude displayed by every member of the team. Thank you to our staff, families and supporters for cheering us on throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to our 5/6 boys and girls T-Ball teams who proudly represented Killara at the Woodlands Division Finals today! 🥎

Both teams put in an outstanding effort, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Our girls had a terrific tournament, winning 2 of their games, while our boys went undefeated and have earned themselves a place at the North Metro Region Finals in two weeks' time! 👏🎉

We are so proud of every player for the way they represented Killara, encouraging one another and displaying such positive sportsmanship on and off the field.

Good luck to our boys at the North Metro Region Finals!

What an incredible Day 2 at camp! 🌿☀️

The campers threw themselves into a full day of adventure with zip lining, canoeing, the survival challenge, low ropes, and Risky Kids. It was fantastic to see everyone stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging each other, and having so much fun along the way.

We wrapped up the day with our Red Faces talent competition, which had everyone laughing, cheering, and showcasing their creativity and confidence. A fantastic way to finish another memorable day at camp!

Home time today! 🚌 We can't wait to see everyone back with their families, taking home some wonderful memories, new friendships, and plenty of stories to share.

We have organised with Tony's Pies of Essendon to conduct a fundraising pie drive.

⚽🌍 Our whole school had a fantastic World Cup Day today! 🌍⚽

As part of the celebrations, our Years 3–6 students enjoyed an exciting lunchtime Student vs Teacher soccer match, with the Mud Dogs taking on the Meerkats.

It was a fantastic game filled with great sportsmanship, teamwork, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. After a closely contested match, the Mud Dogs came away with a 2–1 victory over the Meerkats.

A big thank you to all the students and staff who participated and helped make World Cup Day such a fun and memorable event! 🏆👏⚽
