VM Thrift Shop VIP Afternoon Event
This year we are hosting a VIP afternoon to invite our parent, student, teacher, and wider community to visit our thrift shop to see the wonderful effort the Year 12 VM classes have put into the project. We will also have a bake sale, with baked goods made with love from students, teachers, and local businesses, a complimentary tea and coffee station, and most importantly, a live acoustic set from our VM students to create a warm and welcoming vibe. Come down for a browse, a cuppa and a cake! All proceeds raised by your purchases will be going to our chosen charity, Lifeline Australia. We are currently at around $350, but we’d love to reach our fundraiser target of $1,000. We don’t have EFTPOS facilities, so you’ll need to bring along cash or use the QR code to pay directly to our fundraiser page on the evening. If you’re keen to donate, here is the link to our fundraiser page - Funky Finds Fundraiser Page
We look forward to seeing you.

Join us in celebrating diversity, inclusion and respect for all members of our school community.
Wear it Purple is an Australian youth-led organisation that aims to foster supportive, safe and inclusive environments for LGBTQIA+ young people. By wearing purple, we show our commitment to creating a school where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves.
Students are encouraged to wear purple or, if they wish to come out of uniform, bring a gold coin donation. All funds raised will be donated to Wear it Purple.
There will also be a bake sale and brunch-time activities for students to enjoy.

VM Update
Yesterday at the Hume Global Learning Centre both VCE VM Year 11 and 12 students participated in the Real Industry Job Interviews (RIJI’s) for Work Related Skills. In class, students had followed processes to find a job online related to their industry and write an application including a cover letter and resume. In preparation for their mock interviews, students learned about the common types of interview questions asked and were given strategies to use to help them respond. Overall, students did a fantastic job and walked out of their mock interviews feeling more confident. It is a great experience, and we really value this this event on our VCE VM Calendar each year.

YEAR 12 VM THRIFT SHOP OPENS NEXT WEEK
The Year 12 VM classes have been very busy setting up this year’s pop up thrift shop, Funky Finds, for our sustainability project in Personal Development Skills. We are almost ready for Open Day, next Tuesday at brunch time. We invite you to come visit in P7. We have a great range of pre-loved items in store. This year we’ll be reaching out to the community for donations - so look out for our posts requesting donations to support our project. We want to make it the best thrift shop yet! Bring your cash to spend and support our chosen charity with your purchase. To follow our journey more closely and get an insight into what items are in store, follow us on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/funkyfinds.thriftshop/
