✨ Science Week in action! ✨

Today our students dove into the world of hands‑on discovery with an exciting Fizzics Education incursion, turning our classrooms into buzzing mini‑laboratories. From curious mixtures to surprising reactions, students were fully immersed in experiments that sparked questions, laughter, and those brilliant “I get it!” moments.

Science Week reminds us why science matters so deeply, it pushes us to investigate, to wonder, and to challenge what we think we know. When students experiment with real materials, they’re not just learning facts; they’re learning to think boldly, solve problems, and see the world through a lens of curiosity.

Watching them explore, test ideas, and engage with science in such a hands‑on way was a powerful reminder: science doesn’t just teach us , it transforms us.

🏅 Secondary Athletics Conference – Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre

Today our students took to the track and field at the Secondary Athletics Conference held at the iconic Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, and they absolutely shone.

They participated across a range of multi‑sport events including the 100m sprint, 200m sprint, 800m sprint, Discus, Long Jump and Shot Put showing strength, determination and incredible school spirit.

We are proud to share that many of our students achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd place across their events. Their hard work, commitment and resilience were evident in every race and every throw.

Beyond the results, today was a celebration of teamwork, encouragement and personal bests. Students supported one another from the stands and sidelines, creating an atmosphere full of energy and positivity. It was wonderful to see them challenge themselves, cheer each other on, and represent our school with pride.

A huge congratulations to all our athletes — your efforts today were outstanding. Thank you to our families and staff for your ongoing support.

Grandparents Day Celebration

Last Tuesday, our school community came together to celebrate the gift of grandparents, those whose love, wisdom, and gentle guidance shape our children in ways that last a lifetime. Our special Grandparents Day liturgy was a beautiful moment of faith, gratitude, and connection.

Following the liturgy, families shared a joyful morning tea, filled with stories, smiles, and the warmth that only grandparents bring. Their influence on our children, through their example, encouragement, and unconditional love , is a blessing we treasure deeply.

We offered prayers for all grandparents:
those who were able to join us last Tuesday,
and those who could not be with us,
including those who now rest in God’s eternal care.

“Children’s children are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.” Proverbs 17:6

May God continue to watch over all grandparents and fill their hearts with peace and joy.

What has been coming into view is now revealed. ✨

As a part of the Sydney Catholic Schools community, we are all united by a shared mission to provide Catholic education deeply anchored in faith, marked by educational excellence and accessible to all who seek it.

Inspired by the beauty and symmetry of the rose window of St Mary’s Cathedral, the new Sydney Catholic Schools logo shifts the focus from Sydney’s iconic landmarks to the spiritual heart of the Archdiocese which connects us.

It lives in our students, our staff and our families across Greater Sydney and is reflected in the way we learn and walk together.

With Christ at the centre of all that we do, this renewed expression reflects who we are as a community of communities, based in our traditions but looking boldly to the future.
