Brilliant Brains Brilliant Brains is a tutoring and disability support service that goes beyond letters and numbers.

Tutoring and disability support for kids
whose brains work differently. Kids with ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Anxiety, or any other
condition which falls under the umbrella term of “neurodiverse.”

We deliver learning experiences that engage the interests and needs of each child. We support our students to overcome challenges, build confidence, and advocate for themselves. Brilliant Brains visits t

he home, school, or local library for comfort and convenience. We
work with parents, schools, and children to apply our tailored resources and strategies holistically.

I taught at this pretty rough school, and there was one girl in my class who was constantly suspended for violence.

I had noticed a group of boys following her around at recess and lunch, trying to stir her up, so I initiated ninja mode to catch them in the act.

As predicted, they cornered her, laughing and throwing insults, which she threw right back with force, fists clenched, ready to fight.

I approached the gang and told them to jog on, to which the ringleader told me to shut up.

Quick as anything, this girl screamed, "DON'T BE MEAN TO MY DUMB TEACHER!"

We both stopped, processing what she just said, turned to each other in shock, and then burst into laughter.

This was enough to snap her out of the rage, and we quickly walked to the office together to report the incident.

Of course, admin did little, and I was reprimanded for being late back to class, but this girl knew I had her back, and I didn't care about anything else.

The creative minds of little ones are equally inspiring and terrifying.

I am currently gauging interest in small group Information Communication Technology sessions in or around Cockburn!

As a qualified teacher, I have found upper primary and lower secondary students are brilliant at pressing buttons on a screen but lack the old-school office-type skills vital for assignments, TAFE, university, future employment, and life!

My ICT course will teach your kids to easily navigate a variety of word processing, spreadsheeting, and presentation software to represent and communicate their knowledge. That knowledge may be related to sustainable farming or it may be on the elemental properties of various Pokémon types. Whatever the topic, your children will source the information using impeccable research skills!

We will also cover cyber safety when interacting online - whether through social media, gaming, or streaming - and caring for our physical and mental health in the digital world.

Possible times include:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays
11:00am – 12:30pm
1:00pm – 2:30pm

$30 a session
