🎣 Get Hooked Fishing Program – First Outing Success!
Last Monday, students from our Get Hooked Fishing Program enjoyed their very first fishing trip to Karuah Jetty, joined by our amazing volunteers Damen Bowen, Wayne Eggins and Bec & Todd Evans.
The Get Hooked program is sponsored by the Department of Primary Industries.
This first lesson focused on planning a successful fishing trip — learning how to check the weather and tides, fishing safely with friends, and showing respect for each other, our environment, and our equipment.
We couldn’t be prouder of how our students represented themselves. They were enthusiastic, supportive of one another, eager to share knowledge, and excited to learn new skills. We even caught a few fish! 🐟
A huge thank you to Damen, Wayne, Bec and Todd for generously volunteering their time and expertise to make this experience possible.
We’d also like to extend our thanks to Stroud District Country Club and Stroud Central Hotel for providing transport for the excursion — your generosity made this trip possible. Thanks also to Gloucester High School for loaning us some awesome rods and reels.

📚🌟BOOK WEEK FUN 🌟📚

Yesterday our school community came together to celebrate the joy of reading and brought many of our favourite book characters to life! Our students looked amazing in their costumes! Thank you to all our families who helped make Book Week a fun and memorable event.
Our library was a busy place after our parade with many families coming in to support our book fair. Remember it is not too late to make a purchase! Our book fair is open until next next Friday. Come in and see Mrs Waters from 3-3.15pm and she will be able to assist you.

We are looking forward to seeing some creative costumes tomorrow for our book parade and we celebrate book week together!

Our book parade and assembly will begin under the COLA from 9.30am.

📚Don’t forget to pop into our Book Fair this week or next week! Open each morning 8.30-9.00am and each afternoon until 3.15pm.
The Book Fair will be open all day Thursday for our Book Parade and Assembly. 📚

🐝 Congratulations to our spelling bee finalists who competed in the regional spelling bee today! 🐝
Eli made it to round 3 and Ethan reached round 2, with both students showing outstanding focus and determination as they tackled some tricky words. We are very proud of your efforts!
