How much fun! Would your children enjoy this?

26/06/2026

Some days it’s not the diagnosis that gets to me… it’s how unpredictable it all is.

One minute I can be managing, and the next my body decides that walking hurts, my joints ache, my head pounds, or the weather changes and everything flares up for no obvious reason.

People often think chronic pain has to come from a dramatic injury. The reality is that for many of us, our own bodies are constantly working against us. It’s frustrating, exhausting, and impossible to explain to someone who hasn’t lived it.

So if someone with chronic pain cancels plans, moves a little slower, or says they’re having a bad day, believe them. They’re not being lazy—they’re doing their best with a body that doesn’t always cooperate.

To everyone living with chronic pain: I see you. Keep going. You’re stronger than you realise.
