Learning by doing is an important part of becoming a skilled support worker. 💪

Our Townsville Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) CHC33021 participants recently practised using hoists and slings to safely assist a person from the floor, gaining valuable experience with equipment they may encounter in future workplaces.

When a person needs assistance after a fall, knowing how to respond safely can make all the difference. Through training with the equipment available in the Independent Living Specialists showroom, our participants are developing the practical skills and confidence to handle situations like these while providing safe, person-centred support.
