“I have called you by name, you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

Our staff began Term 4 with a day to pause, connect and put faith into action.

From prayer and reflection in nature to preparing meals and hampers for people facing hardship, today’s Staff Spirituality Day offered opportunities to deepen our faith and serve our wider community.

We also honoured the lives and legacy of our Dominican Sisters, connecting their example of compassion and service with our shared purpose today.

On International Day of the Girl, we celebrate the ideas, ambitions, talents and achievements of our students and the importance of creating an environment where girls are encouraged to lead, challenge expectations, embrace opportunities and pursue their aspirations without limits.

St Catherine of Siena reminds us, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” These words continue to inspire our Dominican approach to education, encouraging our girls to be courageous, curious, compassionate and confident in their ability to make a difference.

At Santa Sabina College, we believe in the extraordinary potential of every girl and the power of education to help her discover who she is, find her voice and shape her future.

The second part of our language and cultural tour saw our students in Spain. In Barcelona, they practised their Spanish while exploring the Old Town, cathedral and Roman ruins, discovering Gaudí’s extraordinary architecture at Park Güell and enjoying time at Barcelona Beach. A highlight was our tour of Gaudí’s Sagrada Família, while a day trip to Montserrat offered time to reflect on faith in a beautiful mountain setting.

As we begin the long journey home, our students return with broader perspectives, greater confidence in their language skills, independence and stronger friendships, shaped by experiences that have brought classroom learning to life.

The grand finale of our Gala Concert 2026 was 'Let Love Rule' by Archie Roach, orchestrated by Andrew Howes. Performed by our Symphony Orchestra and Massed Choir, it also features Barkindji Songwoman Nancy Bates. This signature piece carries the message that through compassion, connection and care for one another, we can find a way forward.
