Today is Remembrance Day. On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minutes’ silence is observed and dedicated to those who have died fighting to protect the nation.

Remembrance Day is a day to commemorate the loss of Australian lives from all wars and conflicts and is emblematic of countries coming together and recognising that violence cannot be sustained.
