NO DEBATE ABOUT IT: OUR DIVAS ARE ZONE CHAMPIONS! 🎤🏆

Yesterday, our students completed the fourth round of the Premier’s Debating Challenge in an exciting internal battle between our two teams: the Debating Divas and the Super Stars!

It was a closely fought debate that showcased fantastic growth in thinking on the spot, delivering effective rebuttals and working together as a team. In the end, our Debating Divas came out on top!

We are incredibly proud to share that the Debating Divas have made it through as one of the Zone Champions and will now compete in the upcoming Knockout Finals!

SCIENCE WEEK CELEBRATIONS 🧪

A big thank you to our wonderful parent scientist, Ms Zahra (mum of Mohamad, Maryam and Layla 💙), who visited SSPS today to lead special Science Week workshops for our K–4 students.

Our students were absolutely BUBBLING on the SURFACE as they explored safe chemical reactions using dry ice, dish soap, balloons 🎈 and baking soda!

Students learnt about the scientific process and practised three key steps:
1. Predict
2. Observe
3. Explain.

It was a treat to see students making predictions, using their senses to observe changes and explaining what happened during each experiment. 🔬🧪

BULLYING NO WAY

Last week SSPS participated in lessons to learn more about how to use small acts of kindness to make a big difference to someone’s day. In 3/4D each student created a ZINE (pronounced "zeen") which is a small, self-published booklet made by hand with images and words they learnt throughout the week. They were so proud of their creations!

THAT’S A WRAP 🌯 FOR ANOTHER PSSA SEASON

What a fantastic season for our PSSA Netball Junior and Senior teams! 🏐💙 All teams finished the season with some fun skill development games, plenty of smiles and lots of pride in how far they’ve come.

Thank you so much to our coaches from the players, teachers back at school and families 🙂 It was a great wrap to a wonderful season! 🌟
