Book Week brought our favourite characters and stories to life! From magical adventures to much-loved classics, our students and staff filled SSPS with colour, creativity and a love of reading.

Our Junior and Senior Dance Groups loved performing at the Strathfield Spring Festival and sharing their passion for dance with the wider community.

We are so proud of our talented dancers. They were absolutely gorgeous!

A huge thank you and congratulations to Mrs Arvanitis, Miss Stella and the team for supporting our dancers and providing them with this wonderful opportunity to perform beyond our school gates.

TODAY’S LITERACY AND NUMERACY WEEK SELFIE CHALLENGE 📸

Congratulations to our Year 6 Spelling Group, who won today’s Word Collector Challenge with an estimated 9,000 words from newspapers, worksheets and our School Song banner! 🏆

Honourable mentions to:
📚 Mrs Joukhador’s group with approximately 3,500 words from dictionaries, workbooks and student writing
đź“ť 5F with around 750 words from their word cloud and student whiteboards
✍️ 4SK with approximately 130 carefully selected vocabulary words displayed on individual whiteboards

*Late submission 📖 6R in the LIBRARY, with MANY high-volume texts. If on time would have surely won 🥇.

LITERACY AND NUMERACY WEEK

This week, we’re using the NSW Department of Education’s thought-provoking visual prompts across our playground!

Each day, students can visit one of four locations during breaks or while moving around the school to discover a new challenge and solve it with their friends.
