The MIB aims to facilitate the education of Indigenous girls from the Ti Tree community (NT) at Meriden Senior School, through raising funds and awareness.

MERIDEN INDIGENOUS BURSARY

Currently, Meriden is privileged to have five Ti Tree girls undertaking study at Meriden in Years 7, 8 and 12. The Meriden Indigenous Bursary is on an exciting, upward trajectory. Some highlights from 2014 include:

Good to see the Federal Government investing in Indigenous education! It once again highlights what an important and transformative initiative the Meriden Indigenous Bursary is for the school and community.

"We want the girls to finish year 12 because that is the greatest success indicator ... for every girl that finishes year 12, the empowerment and the opportunities beyond that are enormous; it is a real change catalyst."

MERIDEN OLD GIRLS SPORTS AFTERNOON!
All Meriden Old Girls are welcome to come and have a look around the new Gym complex at Meriden (opened 2015) and play a game of netball (or two!) on the new courts! Tours of the venue and lunch available. $10 entry. Proceeds from ticket sales to the Meriden Indigenous Bursary! Tickets can be purchased via the link in the invitation below.

HSC Results 2015: Top 20 HSC schools revealed 17/12/2015

Meriden has been ranked 16th in the overall NSW High School rankings based on this year's HSC results. This is simply outstanding and a testament to the quality of teaching Meriden, the dedication of staff and school leadership, and the work ethic of the girls. Well done to Anthea and the 2015 Year 12 cohort on a wonderful result. We are so proud of you!
