STATE SCHOOLS CUP – BRONZE MEDAL!

Congratulations to our Year 11/12 Girls Volleyball team, who have claimed Bronze at the Volleyball SA State Schools Cup!
The girls went undefeated through their first 3 pool matches before losing a very close semi-final, 2-1, against Heathfield HS.

They bounced back strongly on Sunday, defeating Woodcroft 2–1 in the Bronze Medal match.

A fantastic result and a great reward for their commitment, determination and outstanding teamwork throughout the competition.

🇯🇵🇦🇺 Celebrating Our Japanese Study Tour
Last week, Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School was so excited to welcome eight wonderful students from Kandai Hokuyo High School in Japan!

While their time with us was short, it didn’t take long for them to become part of the EFS community. Our students shared lots of laughter, new experiences and special moments as they learned about each other’s cultures and made new friendships.

From cooking kangaroo sausages and native donut balls, playing First Nations games and enjoying Outdoor Education, to exploring our beautiful state, there was something special around every corner.

Students enjoyed meeting Australian wildlife, visiting Hahndorf and Melba’s Chocolate Factory, exploring Adelaide and Flinders University, and heading out on the water to spot dolphins and seals along the Fleurieu Peninsula. 🐨🍫🐬

A huge thank you to the students and staff from Kandai Hokuyo High School for being such a wonderful part of our school community. It was a pleasure sharing our school, culture and beautiful corner of South Australia with you.

We hope you take home many happy memories and we look forward to seeing you again soon! 💙🇯🇵🇦🇺
