We are back in El Niño for the long haul and on top of that a Positive Indian Ocean Dipole 😫 I have been forecasting this for months now, today after looking at both the live data and forecast data it’s a done deal. These 2 bring below average rain and above average temps to start - the longer El Niño goes the higher the risk of drought across large parts of Australia.
I just hope like hell we don’t end up like it was in 2019…

An East Coast Low is forecast to develop off the CQLD Coast Thursday and then drift South on Friday & Saturday, bringing 'increased' rainfall, strong to damaging winds and cold conditions to areas between Sydney & the Whitsundays.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 11am Thursday update: A fully rotating upper level cut low marked in blue is located over Southern inland QLD moving slowly East. It is causing big areas of instability to it's East. Scattered showers, storms and some rain areas are expected in the yellow area today and tonight.
A surface trough across South East QLD into North East NSW is forecast to intensify today & tomorrow as the upper low moves further East. Rain with heavy falls, strong winds and very dangerous storms (stationary) with extreme rainfall remain forecast in the pink shaded area today, tonight and tomorrow. Do NOT become complacent with this system please - it could dump at any stage now. In addition we have identified the risk for waterspouts crossing the coast as weak tornadoes in the pink shaded area. This is because of increasing wind shear over the next 48 hrs generating a favourable environment.

BOM declares La Niña alert as the east braces for storms this week Central Australia and parts of Queensland have already received a deluge this week, and more wild weather is on the way for the south-east in what's shaping up to be a soggy season.

When water floods into or overflows within a property, it is quickly absorbed through the pores of building materials, causing extensive damage.

Juvenaire’s trained technicians will determine the extent of the damage and the best drying procedures to minimise loss and restore a property to it’s pre-loss condition.
