Congratulations to all of our talented young artists who entered this year’s Crisps Youth Art Prize!

We are especially proud of several of our students who received First Prizes and Highly Commended awards for their wonderful artwork. What a fantastic achievement! Congratulations to all of our budding artists who took part and represented our school so proudly.

The exhibition is currently on display at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery until 4 October. If you get a chance, head down to the Gallery and check out the amazing artwork created by young artists from across the Granite Belt!

Last Friday night, we celebrated Book Week with our Book Week themed disco. A huge thank you to our amazing staff and parent volunteers who gave their time to make the night possible. From helping at the door, running the sausage sizzle, the amazing DJ, and selling food and lollies, your support was greatly appreciated.

Best of all, all funds raised from the evening will go towards helping our students attend camp next year.

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported the night and helped make it such a great event for our students

Our PBL Focus – Being Respectful

This week, our students are focusing on being respectful when playing games – following the rules, playing fairly and encouraging others to join in. These simple actions help make our playground a safe, fair and enjoyable place for everyone.

What an amazing Book Week celebration we had yesterday! Our students looked absolutely fantastic, with an incredible variety of costumes bringing some of our favourite book characters to life.

Our staff certainly got into the spirit this year too! We had Mrs Banks from Mary Poppins, the Toy Story crew, Snow White and some of her dwarfs, the Little Red Riding Hood crew, Mario, Scooby-Doo and the gang, and even some of the crew from The Magic Faraway Tree joining in the fun!

A huge thank you to all of our families for the effort, creativity and enthusiasm that went into the costumes. The turnout was amazing! Thank you for helping make Book Week such a fantastic day for our students.

Enjoy some of the wonderful costumes from the day below!

Our Year 3 and Year 5 students recently welcomed Cameron Leckie, Regional Soil Coordinator and Arthur from UniSQ, who shared their knowledge through a fantastic hands-on soil demonstration.

Students explored different types of soils and their properties, investigated soil erosion, and learnt about the important role soil plays in our environment and how it is used.

A big thank you to Cameron, Arthur and UniSQ for taking the time to visit our school and provide such an engaging, hands-on learning experience for our students!
