📚 **Book Week Fun!** 📚

Today we celebrated Book Week with our much-loved Book Week Assembly! Our learners proudly showed off their creative costumes with a walk down the catwalk, keeping one tradition alive and starting a new one — taking our Book Week parade out into the community with a walk down the street!

There was plenty of creativity, colour and favourite book characters on display. A wonderful celebration of books, reading and imagination! 📖

It’s SSO Week!

A big thank you to our wonderful SSOs — Jill, Casey and Elle — for the countless ways they support our learners, staff and school each and every day.

From helping hands and caring hearts to problem solving, laughter and everything in between, they truly do a little bit of everything and make a BIG difference.

So great to see, hear and enjoy the genuine enthusiasm of our students and educators as we hosted some visiting education leaders from Adelaide, keen to hear about our amazing work here at SPS. Our youngest and oldest demonstrated and explained our authentic learning model and inquiry learning process. Great stuff, of which we should all be proud.

⚓ HAPPY WORLD PRINCIPALS’ DAY! ⚓

Yesterday, we celebrated Mr Hackett for World Principals’ Day!

Although he has only been part of our SPS community for a few short weeks, we have loved welcoming him aboard and getting to know the newest captain of our ship! 🚢

As our front sign says… “To Mr Hackett, the captain of our ship, thank you for keeping us afloat!”

We are looking forward to continuing to learn, grow and sail forward together.

🏙️ STANSBURY MEETS THE CITY! 🚌

What an adventure last week's camp was! Three action-packed days of exploring, discovering, learning and plenty of memory-making on our city camp!

From meeting the very greedy Porci at the Marine Discovery Centre 🐡, to exploring Parliament House and the SA Museum, cheering each other on at mini golf ⛳, experiencing the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra 🎶 and getting hands-on at the Botanic Garden 🌱—there was certainly no shortage of excitement!

Beyond all the places we visited, we were incredibly proud to see our learners demonstrate independence, resilience, teamwork and kindness throughout the camp. They embraced new experiences, supported one another and represented Stansbury Primary School wonderfully.

Three days, plenty of adventures and lots of memories to bring home! 💙

We have paused, reflected and are feeling refreshed! ☀️ What beautiful weather we've had to recharge and prepare for another term.

We can't wait to welcome all of our learners, families and our Playcentre community back tomorrow.

As many of you know, Miss Amanda is taking some well-earned long service leave and heading north then West. During this time, we are delighted to welcome Greg Hackett into the role. Greg brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for education, and we know our school community will make him feel right at home.

Here's to another fantastic term of learning, curiosity and making memories together. See you all tomorrow!

What a wonderful evening and an incredible turnout for our small school! Last night, our community and beyond came together to celebrate the amazing learning that has unfolded throughout the year. Our learners proudly guided their families and visitors through the learning spaces, sharing their theories, questions, and understandings, alongside documentation, photos, artefacts, and displays that showcased their journey.

A big thank you to Miss Chrystal and Miss Sophie for supporting the children in making their learning and thinking visible. I am extremely proud of our whole school community. 🥹
