First opened in 2013, we are a supervised working and learning space dedicated to fostering the skills of sewing and printing via classes, machine rentals, supply sales, social events and ongoing support. We have domestic and commercial sewing machines and overlockers which can be used on an hourly or monthly rental basis on site. We also have t-shirt printing carousels, poster printing benches, y
ardage table and UV screen exposure facilities. We offer creative people, from beginners’ level to advanced, a place to work and learn with professional supervision. Bobbin and Ink is a place to get technical questions answered. If you’ve ever been interested in learning to sew using a sewing machine or to screen print to a professional standard, then this is the place for you! If you don’t know where to start, come and join one of our many sewing classes for absolute beginners right through to advanced. If you already have the skills but need the space, come in and rent out one of our sewing machines or get some one-on-one help with your projects. Join our Sewing Club to get free advice while you sew and meet other sewists. We stock a number of haberdashery items for every sewing need! Or if you’re interested in graphics, take up screen printing! Learn simple and effective techniques to print onto almost anything. You can also join our Print Club which makes regular printing using our space affordable, eco-friendly and accessible. All our classes are structured with simplicity in mind and you can rest assured you’ll be taught by someone who knows what they’re talking about. We are authorised stockists of Pfaff and Singer sewing machines, Permaset inks, patterns from McCalls, Butterick, Colette Patterns, Deer and Doe, Thread Theory, Blue Ginger Doll and more.
