This week UQFAS is proud to present The Innocents (2016) directed by Anne Fontaine! We’ve got a coffee & chat at Merlo at 5pm, followed by our screening at 6pm!

‘Poland, 1945. Mathilde, a young French Red Cross doctor, is on a mission to help the war survivors. When a nun seeks for her help, she is brought to a convent where several pregnant sisters are hiding, unable to reconcile their faith with their pregnancy. Mathilde becomes their only hope.‘

Two weeks from now we’ll be holding our much awaited member voted film night! With free food and drink at the Red Room beforehand followed by our AGM, we’ll be screening a movie of YOUR choice!

The only condition is it HAS to be a sports movie to follow our theme ‘Majors as Movies’!

UQFAS in collaboration with UQSoFA are proud to present ‘Loving Vincent’ (2017) tomorrow night at 6pm! Directed by Hugh & DK Welchman, the film follows the final days of renowned artist Vincent van Gogh in the world’s first fully painted animated feature film.

We’ll be meeting at 5pm at Merlo (weather permitting) to socialise, get in our caffeine and discuss all things film and impressionism. Can’t wait to see you there!

Ever watched a movie so good you wanted to EAT the food in it? It’s been 18 years since the single best culinary film of all time graced cinema screens, and to celebrate the release of Ratatouille UQFAS is proud to present: The Ratatouille Tasting Experience!

In collaboration with and we’ll be serving up a delicious four course tasting menu while you watch the film!
