Tonight is EMC At Home. In honour of this decades-long tradition, our Friday flashback! is the 1996 At Home in the dining hall. That's alumnus Bruce Pearce (EMC 1962-65), who has served on the Emmanuel Council for 31 years, and his wife Jennifer in the photo. Thank you to Bruce and Jennifer for their tireless support of the College community.

On Sunday 13 September 2020 we hosted ā€œEmmanuel: appreciatesā€. This adaptation of our traditional Founders’ Day service was a way for us to appreciate the people who have come before us in the history of Emmanuel College and celebrate their achievements. We also celebrated and expressed our thanks to immediate past Principal Dr Jane Thomson, and unveiled the wonderful portrait of Dr Thomson by artist Judith Sinnamon. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate, particularly our students and young alumni, part of our collective future.

Calling Emmanuel College alumni – Would you like to lead by example and become a positive role model for students and young alumni? Whether through mentoring, work experience or internship, talking with students at a careers evening, or paid employment, your professional advice and careers help will be invaluable to our students.

A number of businesses are unable to participate in our mentoring and work experience program at the present time due to COVID-19 restrictions, so we’re asking alumni to register their interest to ensure so that our students don’t miss out on this vital aspect of the Emmanuel College experience. Contact can be through an online platform.

If you’re interested in giving back to the Emmanuel College community in this way, please complete the EOI form https://forms.gle/vP7ZQaxixngoh7479 or contact Advancement Manager Michelle James. Thank you.
