Join UQWN and Elston for an afternoon of drinks, career conversations and networking across Fortitude Valley.

Elston is one of Australia’s largest privately owned financial services businesses, with its Asset Management team managing diversified multi-asset and Australian equity investment strategies, alongside its broader Private Wealth offering.

Want to experience what it’s like to work in a real investment role? 

The CFA Institute x AmplifyME Investing Simulator Challenge gives university students the opportunity to step into the role of an asset manager and make investment decisions in a live, interactive market simulation. No prior experience required.  

Compete with students from around the world, gain practical experience, earn a co-branded certificate (if eligible), and put your skills to the test in a real-world investing environment. Top performers will have the opportunity to progress to the global final and compete for a CFA Program scholarship.

There’s been whispers of it. There’s been speculation. And now, it’s finally upon us.

3pm tomorrow, the BEL societies will witness one of the greatest netball teams to ever step onto the UQ courts.

Some say practice makes perfect. We simply started there. You can’t coach what we have.

And it’s all for something bigger. We’re taking the court for the Kicks for Kids Foundation, putting our phenomenal teamwork towards a phenomenal cause.

All are welcome to witness what promises to be one of the greatest displays of netball domination you’ve ever seen.

J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Case Competition 2026
 
Are you a pre-penultimate student interested in experiencing what it’s like to work on an M&A transaction?

Take on the challenge at the J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Case Competition 2026.
In teams of 2–4, you’ll develop and present your recommendations to J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Team, with top performing teams progressing to the Final Round to present to senior leaders.

Prize: The winning team will be prioritized for final-round interviews for the 2027 Australia Investment Banking Empowering Leaders Development Program (subject to meeting all eligibility requirements and successfully completing the recruitment process).

Eligibility: Students enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program in their pre-penultimate year, graduating between May 2028 and December 2028, from universities located in Australia.

Event registration deadline: 30 August 2026 at 12:00PM AEST
