Often on social media pages for early learning centres, we see the perfect "before" photos, of provocations and spaces ready for children to play and explore. These are beautiful, and we certainly love the inspiration these photos can bring.

However, we thought it's probably also helpful to see the "after" photos, the reality of what happens after the children have played and explored!

Instead of seeing them as a "mess", we could think about how these photos give us a little glimpse into what the child experienced, the joy they felt and how they played.

Throughout our play sessions, educators (and children) often tidy up spaces and remove tripping hazards to make sure they are safe and inviting again for another child to come and play.

But before that occurs, there is this little moment - a little memory of their play! ❤️

It was a real privilege to meet recently with Lucy and the team at St Lucia Kindy, celebrating their Art Show and Open Day. Early education is such a vital part of children's development and we are so lucky to have so many passionate educators across Ryan helping future generations thrive.

What a joy to see the children’s artwork and the new solar panels on the Kindy funded by a Stronger Communities grant supported by my office. The savings from the electricity costs are now helping to fund more community programs at the Kindy!

This is because we are rated Exceeding across all areas and standards, and due to our consistent 5 star ratings.

We are honoured, when we know there are many fantastic services in Brisbane.

We are proud of our long history (78 years) in St Lucia as a not-for-profit community managed Kindy. We love our diverse and vibrant community of children and families, and feel lucky to have the most incredible staff team ❤️

Our Open Day Raffle Prize List is now finalised! We have been very lucky to receive 15 amazing prizes thanks to our local community 🥰

It will be drawn this Saturday 20th June at 3:45pm at our St Lucia Kindy Open Day & Art Show

$5 for 1 ticket or $10 for 3 tickets, cash, card or bank transfer accepted 🎟️

All funds raised from raffle ticket sales will go towards our beautiful Kindy, to help fund our lower playground bathroom project!
