Exploring Our Community – Learning Beyond the Classroom 🌿🌊 Cont'd.

🌊 Kinder Excursion (3–5 years) – St Kilda Beach

Our Kinder children recently experienced an exciting day of discovery at St Kilda Beach.

The children walked along the shoreline observing shells, noticing textures, patterns and the movement of waves. They collaborated to build sandcastles, decorated them with shells, and explored sensory sand play by burying their feet and legs. These hands-on experiences supported:
• Curiosity and inquiry skills
• Fine and gross motor development
• Cooperative play and teamwork
• Language development through shared conversations
• Respect and awareness of the natural environment

After active exploration, the group gathered for a picnic and group reflection time by the beach, re-hydrating and discussing their discoveries.

During our return journey, we experienced an unexpected delay when three scheduled trams did not arrive. The children demonstrated remarkable patience and resilience, waiting calmly and following educator guidance. This real-life experience supported emotional regulation, flexibility and problem-solving — important life skills beyond the classroom.

Exploring Our Community – Learning Beyond the Classroom 🌿🌊

At Kinderclub, we believe that children learn best through real-life experiences, meaningful connections, and active exploration. Our excursions are thoughtfully planned to extend children’s curiosity, confidence, and sense of community.

☕ Nursery Excursion (0–2 years) – Café & Alma Park

Our youngest children recently enjoyed a beautiful community excursion to the Phoenician Café and Alma Park.

The children sat together sharing baby chinos and marshmallows, building early social connections and a strong sense of belonging. These small but meaningful experiences support early language development, turn-taking, and social awareness.

At Alma Park, the children explored the swings, slide, water fountain and flying fox. Through climbing, balancing and moving their bodies, they strengthened their gross motor skills and developed confidence in new physical challenges.

We finished the morning with a picnic prepared by our chef Liggy, creating a calm group moment where children could relax, connect and enjoy healthy food together.

Happy New Year!

We hope everyone enjoyed their festive season break. We're now accepting new enrolments for 2026, while bidding farewell to the Kinder Graduates of 2025. We send our best wishes to them as they start their school journey, and it's likely they'll reconnect with older Kinderclub friends at their chosen schools.

Before Christmas day, Santa paid a visit to Kinderclub! The children were thrilled to give Santa their Christmas wish letters in person. All Kinderclub families, including grandparents, were invited to join the festivities. Croissants, fresh fruit, and other snacks were provided for morning tea.

Market Day!

While regular groceries are delivered to the centre, some of the fresh produce and fruits are purchased from the market over the weekend.

We would often on weekends drive to Dandenong Market and select the best and freshest seasonal fruits for the children at Kinderclub.

This week the kids were provided with Calypso Mangoes, Envy Apples, Packham Pears, Oranges and Bananas.

Kinderclub Group CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.

Last Saturday, the Educators spent their morning on CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training. This is something we organise each year to ensure all Educators are up to date with their training.

Not compulsory, but rest assured, we always make sure we have spare EpiPen and an inhaler in case of an emergency.

The course covers from babies to adults.

Kinder’s Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Excursion

To ensure our children are engaging and connecting with the local community, the students from Kinder participated in an excursion to Ben Hall’s Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy in Windsor, engaging in physical and listening activities. The cohort was divided into two groups across different days to ensure all children could take part.

Under the instruction of Ben Hall (4th Degree Black Belt), the students followed guidance closely and practiced various coordination and balance exercises designed by Ben and his assistant, Aimee.

The primary objectives of this excursion included promoting physical fitness and balance, developing listening skills, learning self-regulation strategies, and fostering patience.

The Kinder’s did an amazing job whilst having fun!.
