Yesterday, we gathered a small group at The White House for a conversation with Asif Saleh, exploring BRAC's model, his own pivot from Wall Street to global justice, and what a genuinely good society demands of its leaders.

Asif was recently named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in Philanthropy, recognised for work that has lifted 2.3 million households out of extreme poverty and educated 15 million children.

BRAC is unlike any international development organisation you have encountered. It is a diversified ecosystem of 49 entities, including schools, banks, fashion brands, mobile financial services, social enterprises and a university, all built on one idea: that people, given the right conditions, will change their own lives.

The room was full of people asking the same essential question: how do we use what we have, our businesses, our capital, our influence, to contribute to a world worth leaving behind.

We traversed expansive terrain and welcomed many perspectives. We’re still processing the depth and richness of the three days we spent together.

As our co-founder reflected, AI will reshape everything from our nervous systems to national security.

Together, we sat with the tensions of our time: trust and fear, efficiency and humanity, progress and security, control and surrender. Not as opposites to be solved, but as truths to be held together.

As reminded us, the path forward calls for “curiosity, collaboration, and civic care.”

And in the words of “If we can be the wise version of ourselves, we can make it through this.”
