✨ The Toys — what an unforgettable show! 💫

Yesterday’s Ripponlea Primary School production was absolutely amazing, from the incredible ‘90s songs to the choreography, costumes, and all the energy on stage. Every detail was pure joy!

You could feel the happiness in the room, everyone left with a huge smile and a full heart. 💖

A massive thank you to everyone who made it possible, the teachers, volunteers, parents, and of course, our talented kids who shone so brightly. 🌟

Our Book Week Parade filled the school with colour, adventure and so much creativity. 🌟 From homemade costumes to favourite book characters, our students truly brought stories to life. 📚💫

What a day! 🌞🏃‍♀️🏅
Last Monday, our Ripponlea Primary School community came together for the Whole School Athletics Carnival under the most beautiful sunny skies. From start to finish, the day was filled with energy, teamwork, and school spirit.

A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers, teachers, and families who helped make the day run so smoothly – we couldn’t have done it without you! 🙌

Most importantly, we are so proud of our students for showing great sportsmanship, cheering each other on, and giving their very best in every event. What a celebration of community, fun, and healthy competition! 💛💚

Our 2025 House Athletics Carnival is just around the corner!
Students have been training hard in PE for a fun day of teamwork and participation at Duncan MacKinnon Athletics Track.

💥 Years 3–6: Running, hurdles, shot put, discus, long & triple jump
🎯 F–2: Sprints, mini hurdles, vortex throws, bean bag push & more!

🎨 Artist in Residence – Daniel Butterworth
We’re so excited to welcome local artist Daniel Butterworth to Ripponlea this term! ✨

Daniel’s bold, expressive style and unique approach to portraiture have already inspired our students to explore new techniques and think outside the box.

From playing with proportion to expressing emotion through art, it’s been amazing to see the creativity flowing across classrooms!

Students have called the sessions “inspiring” and “the best art ever!” — and we couldn’t agree more.

🎨 Visual Arts at RPS 🎨
This term, our young artists have been busy creating incredible work across all year levels!

🖌️ Foundation students explored Aboriginal art through the work of Rachael Sarra, using organic shapes and symbols to tell their own stories.

🐌 Grade 1/2 took inspiration from illustrator Clare Young to design charming patterned snails using collage.

🏺 Grade 3/4 are proudly bringing home their glazed ceramic pinch pots after weeks of hard work.

🛏️ Grade 5/6 used one-point perspective to design their dream bedrooms with amazing 3D effects.

We’re so proud of all their creativity!

✨ It’s the last week of Term! ✨
We’ll be sharing some of the amazing events from this term over the next few days — starting with National Fairy Bread Day! 🎉

The school was full of colour and kindness as our SRC hosted a magical Pyjama Day to support The Pyjama Foundation. From fairy bread treats to a PJs design comp, it was a fun-filled day with a purpose.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined in and donated — and special shout-out to our amazing SRC team for leading the way with heart and style! 💖🍞🌈

🎭 Performing Arts Highlights – Term 2

Our students have been shining on stage and screen this term!

✨ Years 3–6 have created incredible silent films inspired by Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy—writing scripts, filming scenes, and adding classic effects. Some will be shared at our next assembly!

🌟 Foundation to Year 2 brought stories to life with imaginative and energetic drama performances, captured on video—check Seesaw for updates!

🎬 Year 5 & 6 are also busy rehearsing for our big School Production in October. The cast is set and the excitement is building!
