Since I am located in the Hancock farm and share the school yard with the Hancock Family Cemetery, I get to participate in the annual Hancock family’s Memorial Day reunion honoring Ted and Irene Hancock buried there. My door was unlocked for this special annual event Sunday. Jenny Hancock Wehmeyer brought the kids inside to play school. Later everyone played volleyball and other games in my yard. So glad to be restored and can have kids visit and enjoy me again!

FB says Star School “About” will go away today. Why? Can’t find a way to renew. They have a “Boost” button “To reach a broader audience “ that you have to pay for an ad. The Star School is not a business. HOWEVER,
The Star School would be an educational field trip this spring for students and teachers to get a glimpse of rural education 100 years ago. Many seniors would enjoy the nostalgia of stepping back in time to their childhood school days, as well.
