What an incredible soccer day we enjoyed at school with the Macarthur FC coaches joining us for the entire day! The photos truly capture the spirit of fun, laughter, and a healthy dose of friendly competition. Our K-6 students were fortunate to participate in coaching sessions led by the fantastic Cody, Hayden, and Matilda. Although each session was only half an hour long, it felt like two hours, as everyone gave their all and were happily exhausted by the end. A memorable and inspiring day for all!

Slow-motion running was on the agenda this week—and it’s harder than it looks! Our students took on the challenge of learning to move their arms and legs in sync (right arm, left leg!) and absolutely smashed it. 💪👏
Why slow-motion? It helps kids really understand how their bodies move and builds up great coordination and confidence. Step by step, we broke the skill down so everyone could learn at their own pace and celebrate every win.
We don’t just play sport here—we learn the skills behind it! Next time you see your child running around, ask them to show you their “opposite arm and leg” technique. You might be surprised!
Have you noticed your child practicing their running at home?
Learning each part on its own means you’ll feel way more confident when you run full speed. It’s all about making running smoother and easier!

Congratulations to our outstanding young athlete on her impressive performance at the Sydney South West Regional Cross Country Championship yesterday. Finishing 18th out of a field of over 70 runners in the 11 Years Girls race is a fantastic achievement. Well done! We are very proud of you.

Our courtyard play areas offer students a variety of activity choices. These spaces are consistently supported by Teachers, School Support Learning Officers, and Student Leaders, ensuring supervision and safety. This approach has been part of our routine for many years, helping to maintain a positive and safe environment. Here are just a few snapshots of what’s available for our students each day.
What an absolutely fabulous day at Ambarvale High School today for some of our Year 4 students.
The students were involved in so many amazing opportunities such as cooking, visiting the agricultural plot, undergoing science experiments, learning about texture and resistance in visual arts, and more!
Thank you to Ambarvale High for hosting such a successful day. 🌻

On Tuesday, we proudly competed against the Douglas Park Diamonds in a lively debate on the topic, "All homework and assignments should be group work." Our team secured a victory thanks to our strong and persuasive rebuttals. We thank Douglas Park Public School for challenging us and making it a great debate.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who participated, as well as to our chairperson for expertly guiding the debate. A big thank you to our fantastic audience, who listened attentively and respectfully throughout the event.
We are already looking forward to our next debate against the Woodland Road Wombats!

True to our commitment to providing opportunities for students to thrive, our Year 3–6 students, all keen and avid readers, enjoyed a fantastic day at the Writers Festival. They listened to real authors share how they create stories, discovered new ways to express their ideas, and participated in fun activities designed to spark their imaginations. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they connected with books and writers in fresh and exciting ways. The festival inspired our students to think creatively and reminded them that everyone has a story to tell. We are proud of their curiosity and engagement, and we can’t wait to see the wonderful writing they produce back at school!
