🎸 Flashback Friday – 1996 🎸
Thirty years ago, St George State High School students took to the stage at the 100% In Control Rock Eisteddfod Challenge in Roma.
Their powerful performance, based on the theme “The Futility of Street Life,” earned the school an impressive third place, along with $300 and a plaque. 🏆
Pictured are Amanda Duneman, Marissa Roche, Chantelle Bradfield, Sophie Codrington and Belinda McDonald.
A wonderful achievement and a memorable moment from 1996! Do you remember this performance? ❤️

🌟 WELCOME BACK, PENNY! 🌟
It was wonderful to welcome back past student Penny Salmon (now Evans), from the Class of 1994, who visited the school while catching up with family in St George.
In 1995, Penny was a Rotary Exchange Student and spent a year in Japan. She later moved to London, England, in 2003, where she now works as a solicitor.
Thank you for dropping in, Penny! It was lovely to see you and hear where life has taken you. 😊

Today, our School Captains Abby and Danii-Elle, along with Junior Captain Stella, represented our school at the Vietnam Veterans Day Service at the Cenotaph. Abby and Danii-Elle shared a poignant poem, Stella joined them to lay a wreath in remembrance, and our leaders raised the flags to honor those who served. 🕊️💐
