Woodville High School CRICOS provider no. 00018A Woodville High School opened in 1915, and is still operating on the same site.

Its diverse cultural mix gives the school its unique character as well as a long tradition of producing proud scholars. Throughout its history the school has developed a proud tradition of academic achievements. The school provides a comprehensive music and sporting program and has achieved high success in these activities. Today the school is a large and complex educational organisation which delivers a range of educational programs to students in Years 7-12 and beyond in a proud community.

TRY A TRADE DAY | CONSTRUCTION PATHWAYS 🏗️

Our students received practical experience within the construction industry last week during an amazing ‘Try A Trade Day’ led by TAFE SA construction expert, Don.

Students explored industry tools, practical construction skills and the wide range of career opportunities available through apprenticeships, training and employment pathways in the building and construction sector.

A big thank you to Don and the team at TAFE SA for providing our students with an engaging and authentic industry experience that helped bring future career possibilities to life.

Throughout the day, students can get involved in a range of activities designed to promote wellbeing, strengthen connections and create opportunities to check in with friends and those around us.

Remember, you don’t need to be an expert to start a conversation. Sometimes, simply asking “Are you OK?”, listening and showing that you care can make a real difference.

As part of Dance/Drama Week, our students took to the stage for our annual Lip Sync Battle!

Competitors spent the week rehearsing, perfecting their moves and preparing to bring plenty of energy, creativity and performance flair to the stage. The result was a fantastic celebration of performance and a lot of fun!

Happy Father’s Day for Sunday 6 September 2026!

Fathers’ Day is a celebration of fatherhood, it is also recognised as a time for us to honour, celebrate and be thankful for all the men, father figures and male role models in our lives, including our uncles, grandfathers, godfathers, and our male teachers. We recognise the very important role they have in the lives of children.

I would like to wish all the dads, Grandads, Uncles and father-figures a wonderful Father’s Day for Sunday. For the LGBTQIA+ families I wish them a happy family day!
We also recognise that Father’s Day looks different for everyone, and we hold in mind those who are missing a father figure, those for whom the day is difficult, and the many family structures within our Woodville High School community.

Thank you for the countless ways you make a difference in the lives of your children and communities. Whatever this weekend looks like for you, we wish you a peaceful one and a day filled with memorable moments.

Congratulations to Ben Swindon on being awarded Third Prize in the Animal & Landscape category in the High School Student Awards Photography Competition at the Royal Adelaide Show.

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of Ben's creativity, photographic talent and ability to capture striking images of the world around him. Receiving an award at such a prestigious event is something to be incredibly proud of.

We congratulate Ben on this well-deserved success and look forward to seeing his photographic skills continue to develop.
