In joining our community on Facebook, please be aware that Ellison Public School's page follows both the Department of Education Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. What this means for our learning community:
♣ The Facebook terms and conditions state that no one under the age of 13
years should have a Facebook profile. Therefore, any students under 13 who 'Likes' the page or ‘Comments' on the Ellison Public School page will be deleted and reported immediately.
♣ The Department of Education has strong advice for teachers 'Friending' parents and students on Facebook detailed in the Code of Conduct 2014. Although Ellison Public School Staff proudly support and contribute to our page by way of ‘liking' through their personal accounts, they are not permitted to friend students and friending parents is strongly discouraged. Comments agreement:
♣ Although Ellison Public School actively encourages interaction from Facebook users we are not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the Page.
♣ The administrators of the Ellison Public School page reserve the right, to remove comments that are racist, sexist, abusive, profane, violent, obscene, spam, that advocate illegal activity, contain falsehoods or are wildly off-topic, or that libel, incite, threaten or make personal attacks on Ellison Public School students, employees, guests or other individuals.
♣ Comments or messages selling products or promoting commercial, political or other ventures outside of the Department of Education are not permitted and will be deleted. Ellison Public School Facebook administrators will remove content, and in some cases ban users if comments contain:
♣ Offensive abusive, obscene, profane, hateful or racist content, links or images
♣ Comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
♣ The direct, full name or descriptive reference to an individual, irrespective of the post's tone
♣ Solicitations and advertisements by other organisations or endorsements by other organisations or endorsements of other organisations not approved by the Principal
♣ Multiple or repetitive posts by a single user or repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple users
♣ Anything else that the school deems inappropriate and does not align with our values, standards, policies and guidelines. Please be aware that comments are also subject to Facebook's Terms of Use and Code of Conduct, and when posted by students may be subject to action in line with the Suspension and Expulsion of School Students – Procedures 2011. Our talented Drama Ensemble students have been hard at work rehearsing for the Lights Up Drama Festival and are ready to take the stage and perform tonight. We are so proud of their dedication, creativity and teamwork, and can’t wait to see them shine under the lights.

STAGE 2 EXCURSION
Ahoy there Stage 2!. Just a few reminders about our upcoming excursion tomorrow to the Sydney Maritime Museum. Teachers will be ready to meet you at the top gate at 7:45am for roll call and grouping. The bus will leave promptly at 8am so please do not be late. We have a very busy and exciting day ahead of us. Please ensure you wear full school uniform, bring a hat and packed recess and lunch. We hope to be back around 3:15pm but this may change due to traffic conditions on the day. Please watch Facebook messages for updates tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to an amazing day.

Join the 2026 Great Book Swap! 🌟
Our school is excited to participate in the 2026 Great Book Swap, a special fundraising event supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) and remote First Nations Communities.
The ILF helps place culturally relevant books and literacy resources into the hands of children in remote Indigenous communities across Australia. Your donations make a real difference!
As part of this program, our school will receive four animal-themed cultural learning resources that introduce students to Aboriginal languages, celebrate Aboriginal cultures, and explore the importance of storytelling.
🗓 Important Dates:
-Bring a favourite or pre-loved book to donate by Friday, Week (June 12th)
-The Great Book Swap itself will take place in Week 9, on Tuesday 16th June, bring a cold coin in and swap it for a book!💰
