Take 2!! It's twice the glamour, double the popcorn and twofold of fun. It's night 2 of Film By the Eucalypts. Another group of fabulous filmmakers stormed the red carpet at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub on Thursday 6th November. You have blown us all away again with your creativity and skills. 🎥🎟🎬

Sequins? Check. Glam? Double check. Stepping onto the red carpet in style! 🌟 Our talented student filmmakers arrived at Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub with their families last night for a night to remember. A night full of sparkle, creativity, and awesome memories! We are ready for NIGHT 2! 🎟🎬

Wednesday 5th November will feature films from Blackheath P.S., Blaxland East P.S., Braddock P.S. , Glenbrook P.S., Hazelbrook P.S., Springwood P.S., Wentworth Falls P.S. and Winmalee P.S.
Thursday 6th November will feature films from Ellison P.S., Faulconbridge P.S., Lapstone P.S., Lawson P.S., Leura P.S., Megalong P.S., Mt. Riverview P.S. and Mt. Victoria P.S.

Film By The Eucalypts Film by the Eucalypts is a short film festival showcasing the filmmaking talents of primary school students.

From just seven local primary schools involved nine years ago, our little film festival has grown to include films from 16 schools across the Blue Mountains and beyond in 2025. We have received so many great entries that we are screening the finalists across two nights at Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, 20th October.

Teachers of the Blue Mountains!! 2 hours of free PD is happening this afternoon at Springwood Public School from 4-6pm. Come along and learn how to engage your class with film-making and get the most out of the experience. Refreshments are provided too 😉

Great news! 📣📣 We have been able to schedule a second public screening between the student matinee and the evening red carpet event. The twilight screening at 4:30pm on Thursday 7th November will not feature speeches and will be slightly more informal. The ticket price reflects this difference. Evening and twilight tickets are not transferable. Food and drinks will still be available and if students would like to walk the red carpet or purchase merchandise they will be able to do so at the end of the twilight screening.
