Gardening Club in Action!

Our Gardening Club has been busy growing, weeding, beautifying and composting! Students have planted new vegetables and flowers for native bees, carefully identified weeds in our Aboriginal garden, transformed garden beds and composted the school’s fruit scraps to feed our worms and nourish the soil. A fantastic effort from our future farmers, botanists, landscapers and compost engineers!

🎉 Congratulations to our Game Changer Team – Beyond the Blue Zones! 🌏💙
Our team has officially submitted their final project for Phase 2 of the Game Changer Challenge!
This submission represents months of collaboration, research, problem-solving and plenty of brain-teasing idea generation! 💡
You can check out their complete portfolio and final video here: https://chertseyps.my.canva.site/beyondbluezones
Now, our fingers and toes are crossed as we wait for the judges to assess their submission.
We are incredibly proud of the team and all they have achieved! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our Stage 3 students who, earlier this week, took part in a three-day overnight excursion to Great Aussie Bush Camp at Kincumber. Our students pushed themselves beyond their comfort zones through a range of challenges, formed new friendships and demonstrated outstanding teamwork. Their behaviour was exemplary, and they were consistently respectful towards all staff throughout the camp. A special thank you to Miss Vaughan, Mrs Elbra and Mrs Gormly for supporting our students and attending camp, making this a memorable experience for all.

Class Spotlight:1/2B
1/2B's students are building their words and building their futures. They're counting on each other, and counting on a few dollars as well. They are also very excited about presenting their assembly item with K-6M in Week 6... Come see our lights shine!

Meet our first Student Voice leaders who were elected by their peers to represent them at fortnightly meetings with Mr Lowe and Mrs Gay. They will contribute key ideas, provide feedback and have a voice in important decisions and school planning that affect students at Chertsey. Congratulations to our inaugural Student Voice Leaders!

Our Stage 3 students have enjoyed a fun-filled first day and night at the Great Aussie Bush Camp, Kincumber. They’re excited for a full day of activities ahead. Thank you to Ms Vaughan, Mrs Elbra and Mrs Gormly for generously supporting our students on this worthwhile experience.

On Saturday, we welcomed more than 50 volunteers from iSee Church, Erina, who generously gave their time to support our school through a community working bee. The team worked tirelessly to clear overgrown gardens, plant new greenery, mulch garden beds, paint walls, pressure clean pathways and restore outdoor learning spaces that had become overgrown over time.

Thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday to make such a wonderful difference to our school- it looks amazing!
