📚✨ BOOK WEEK IS ALMOST HERE! ✨📚

Book Week starts Monday 24th August, and our Educators are getting ready for a week full of stories, imagination and FUN! 🌿📖

Each care environment will be choosing a special book to inspire their room and learning experiences. Throughout the week, the children will explore their chosen story through projects, dress-ups, songs, games and plenty of creative adventures! 🎨🎭🎶

We can’t wait to see each book come to life in its own unique way and watch where the children’s ideas and imaginations take us. 💚

👀 Current families: Keep an eye on Xplor for communication from your Educators about what your child’s room has planned.

📚 Let the Book Week adventures begin!

🤎 Mud & Dirt…. always a favourite! 🤎

No matter the time of day or the season, mud & dirt play never seems to lose its magic!

Scooping, filling, pouring, levelling, digging and transforming it into whatever their imagination decides — mud provides endless opportunities for role play, creativity and exploration. 🌿

Sometimes the simplest resources create the richest play… and for our children, you just can’t beat a good patch of mud! 😂🤎

Swinging into Monday with our brand-new rope!

There’s nothing quite like starting the week swinging, climbing and hanging upside down! 🙌

The children are having a mighty fun time while building their core strength, balance, coordination and confidence — all through play! 💪🌳

Strong bodies, big smiles and plenty of Monday fun!

Springfield Childcare and Early Education Centre is all about connection — connection with each other, with our children, and with the land on which we learn, work, and play.

We currently have a rare opportunity for casuals:
🌿 A Diploma Qualified Educator
🌿 A Certificate III Qualified Educator

Our educators work within a mixed-age learning environment supporting children from 12 months through to Kindy age.

SCEEC has been passionate about advocating for children to learn through play in a less structured, more meaningful environment. Our days are filled with natural resources, loose parts play, mud kitchens, curiosity, risk-taking, creativity, and genuine childhood experiences.

At the heart of everything we do is child safety, connection, and advocacy. We strongly believe children deserve a voice, to feel safe, respected, and supported — and we will always advocate for them.

We are looking for educators who are passionate, authentic, nurturing, and excited to be part of a close-knit team that truly values relationships and childhood.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! Please email your resume along with a little about yourself, your passions, and the talents you could bring to our team to Bree:

We can’t wait to welcome the next superstars into our family 🤎

There’s something exciting happening in our outdoor environment at this time of year! 🌿🚜

The shovels are out, wheelbarrows are on the move, and the children are hard at work bringing their visions to life. Through digging, hauling soil, building hills, and reshaping the landscape, children are developing strength, coordination, perseverance, and teamwork while engaging in meaningful play.

As the hills take shape, so do the possibilities—jumping higher and further, climbing new challenges, and exploring the environment from a whole new perspective. It’s a wonderful process to watch as ideas become reality and children experience the pride that comes from creating something together.

Sometimes the most valuable learning happens with a shovel in hand, dirt under your nails, and a vision worth working towards. 💚

🔥❄️ Winter campfires are just the best! ❄️🔥

There’s something truly special about gathering around a crackling campfire on a cool winter morning.

The warmth, connection, slower pace, and meaningful conversations create moments that children will remember long after the fire has gone out.

We enjoyed sharing stories, building connections, and sipping on delicious hot chocolate as we embraced the simple joys of winter together. These moments remind us of the importance of slowing down, being present, and creating a sense of belonging within our community.

This NAIDOC Week, our children came together to create a beautiful Rainbow Serpent painting, celebrating one of the most significant stories in Aboriginal culture.

As we painted side by side, we slowed down, listened, and engaged in meaningful conversations about connection to Country, storytelling, community, and respect. The experience became much more than an art project—it was an opportunity to learn from one another, work collaboratively, and reflect on the rich cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Through teamwork, curiosity, and thoughtful discussions, the children shared ideas, asked questions, and contributed their own unique touches to our collective artwork. These moments remind us of the importance of creating space for children to wonder, connect, and learn together.

❤️💛🖤 NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate, listen, and continue learning, and we are grateful to have shared these meaningful experiences with our children.
