🌟 PBL Focus of the Week – Right Place, Right Time 🌟

This week, students are learning about the importance of being in the right place at the right time throughout the school day.

This includes:
✅ Arriving at school on time
✅ Being punctual to class
✅ Moving directly to learning areas
✅ Following transition routines

Families can support this focus by discussing daily routines, punctuality and the importance of being where you are meant to be to support learning and safety. 💚

🎶 INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC CONCERT 🎶

Last Wednesday evening, we celebrated the achievements and talents of our Instrumental Music students at our annual concert.

As part of the evening, awards were presented to students who demonstrated our Woodcrest values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience throughout 2026.

Congratulations to all our talented performers and award recipients! We are incredibly proud of your dedication, hard work and achievements. 💚

🏉 AFL UMPIRE EXPERIENCE AT THE GABBA 🏟️

Last weekend, a group of lucky Woodcrest State College students had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Lions v Suns QClash at the Gabba as part of the AFL Umpire Experience.

Students met the AFL field umpires before the match and then stepped onto the Gabba to umpire the Auskick games during half-time!

It was an incredible experience and provided students with a valuable insight into AFL umpiring at an elite level.

A big thank you to AFL Queensland Umpiring for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity! 💚💛

📱 HELPING CHILDREN NAVIGATE THE DIGITAL WORLD
The Greater Springfield Learning Coalition is proud to host award-winning journalist, parenting commentator and bestselling author Madonna King for a special community event.

Madonna will share insights from her newly released book, Screen Wise, offering practical guidance to help children use technology safely, confidently and with a healthy balance.

This FREE event is open to parents, carers, community members and school staff.
