After two wonderful years of caring for your children, I want to share that Paper Daisy Family Day Care is now closed as my family and I are relocating to another part of Queensland.

This decision comes with a mix of emotions. It’s hard to say goodbye to the incredible community that has supported me and trusted me to be part of your children’s lives. Watching them grow, learn, and thrive has been such a rewarding journey.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every family who has been part of these two years. Your support and trust have meant the world to me, and I’ll cherish the memories we’ve created together forever.

As I move forward to this new chapter, I wish you all the very best and send my deepest gratitude for being part of the Paper Daisy Family Day Care story.

🌸 Weekly Wrap-Up: 28th October – 1st November 2024 🌸

This week was packed with Halloween fun, creativity, and plenty of smiles!

Monday: We kicked off with Halloween crafts, decorating trick-or-treat bags. In the afternoon, the children met some new friends and jumped into a world of imaginative play together.

Tuesday: Welcoming even more new faces, we enjoyed meeting the dogs and made creative dress-up crowns for a magical afternoon of princesses and castles!

Wednesday: Halloween crafts continued, with the children making pom-poms and creating a cozy play zone safe from curious paws. Our Halloween party added a spooky touch to the day with costumes, treats, and lots of laughter.

Thursday: Party 2.0! The morning was filled with fruity slushies and games, while the afternoon was all about free play with creative activities and pretend adventures.

Friday: Lots of dog cuddles to start the day, followed by Haba bead creations. We wrapped up with happy hearts and big smiles as we headed into the weekend!

It’s been a fantastic week of celebrations, creativity, and fun! 🎃🌟

🌸 Our Adventures: 21st - 25th October 2024 🌸

What an action-packed week we had, filled with laughter, creativity, and exploration!

Monday, 21st October:
We kicked off the week with an exciting trip to the automatic car wash! The children were a bit nervous at first but quickly became mesmerised by the soapy jets and colourful wax, cheering each other on with laughter. Later in the morning, they set up foam mats for ballet, creating their little stage and showcasing their steps. Meanwhile, some finished their Halloween Haba bead creations.

Tuesday, 22nd October:
The adventure continued with our first excursion to Admiral Park! The children enjoyed the swings and monkey bars, giggling and cheering each other on. In the afternoon, they discovered extra Halloween decorations, eagerly colouring some to take home while I prepared for our cookie-making session. Mixing the dough was a fun challenge, and they loved shaping it into balls to chill for baking tomorrow!

Wednesday, 23rd October:
Today was all about cookie sandwiches! We created delicious treats using our dough, letting the children choose between gummy bears and sprinkles for the filling. After enjoying our snacks at Admiral Park, some children played on the playground while others got creative making their own chalk paint. It was wonderful to see their imaginations flourish!

Thursday, 24th October:
What a fantastic time we had at Atlantic Drive Sports Complex for our tennis lesson! The children warmed up with a lap around the court before practicing their throwing skills with partners across the net. We played "Crocodile Catches" and worked on dropping and hitting the ball with racquets, ending with a fun game of knockouts and partner rallies.

Friday, 25th October:
We wrapped up the week with more fun, cuddling and patting our furry friends! The children decorated Halloween trick-or-treat bags and continued with imaginative play while sharing smiles all around as they enjoyed the delicious cookies made earlier in the week.

It’s been a wonderful week of building connections, exploring new activities, and nurturing creativity. Thank you all for being part of our journey! 🌟

🌸 Our Adventures: Monday, 14th October - Friday, 18th October🌸

Monday:
We kicked off the week with a warm welcome to a new family! In before school care, the children enjoyed cuddles with Oliver, our beagle, and challenged each other with chess games. 🎉 After school, the Halloween fun began as they decorated spooky tote bags and got creative with Halloween-themed crafts. 👻✨

Tuesday:
The morning was filled with energy as the children spent time with Oliver 🐾 and dove into crafting with Hama beads. They also discovered some quiet reading time. In the afternoon, they continued their Halloween projects and were thrilled to see a stunning double rainbow after the rain! 🌈

Wednesday:
We had a cozy morning with magnetic tiles, where the children built everything from castles to intricate designs. 🏰 Later, they found Halloween balloons and filled the room with laughter. After school, they finished their Hama bead creations while enjoying some peaceful moments with Oliver. 🎨💕

Thursday:
The children practiced being gentle with our furry friends in the morning 🐶, and we made delicious fairy bread together! 🍞✨ In the afternoon, we ventured to Admiral Park, where they ran around and played under the sunny sky, enjoying every moment of outdoor fun! 🌿🏞️

Friday:
We wrapped up the week with a treat at Orion Lagoon Café, enjoying ice blocks to cool down 🍦. Afterward, the children played at the pink playground, diving into games of tag, swinging high, and spinning on the merry-go-round. A fantastic end to a fun-filled week! 🌪️💕

🌸 Weekly Wrap-Up: 7th - 11th October 2024 🌸

What a fun-filled week we've had at after-school care! Here's a little peek into what we've been up to:

Monday: Public Holiday—rest and recharge! 🎉

Tuesday: We kicked off the week with some planning and excitement for Halloween! 🎃👻 The children brainstormed ideas for spooky decorations, and we can't wait to bring them to life.

Wednesday: Our Halloween prep began! The kids got creative with paper chains and decorated the space with eyeball lights and a spooky scene setter.

Thursday: Time for something sweet! 🧁 The children made their own "cake in a cup" from scratch, measuring and mixing to create their delicious treat.

Friday: We ended the week with a trip to Silver Jubilee Park. The kids played an imaginative game of “Murder Mystery” and enjoyed climbing on the park equipment, racing to see who could swing the highest! 🌳

It’s been a fantastic week full of creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun. Can’t wait to see what next week holds as we continue our spooky season preparations! 🎃🎉

🌸 Weekly Wrap-Up: 30 September – 04 October 🌸

We’ve had a fun-filled and creative week at afterschool care! Here’s a peek at what we got up to:

Monday:
We kicked off the week with child-led arts & crafts, where the children designed everything from paddlepop stars to Lego creations.

Tuesday:
We welcomed new friends! The children connected through magnetic tiles, crafts, and games, while the older children enjoyed some quiet time sketching.

Wednesday:
With the rain keeping us indoors, we enjoyed board games, building with Trestle Tracks, and creating patterns with magnetic tiles.

Thursday:
Baking day! The children had a blast making cupcakes, taking turns adding ingredients and decorating their delicious creations.

Friday:
Park day! The children enjoyed climbing, racing on the flying fox, and even had a friendly competition on the climbing wall and fireman’s pole.

It’s been a wonderful week full of creativity, exploration, and lots of laughter. Every day is designed to encourage learning, social connection, and fun in a safe and nurturing environment.

We’re excited for more adventures next week!

What a fun-filled day we had at Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast! 🌊

The children splashed around in the water, played rescue games at the beach, and made the most of the beautiful sunshine. Of course, no beach day is complete without a sweet treat, so we cooled off with some delicious ice cream afterward! 🍦✨

Laughter, creativity, and happy memories all around – what a magical day! 💖

🌸 Welcome to Day One of Vacation Care Fun! 🌸

We’re super excited to kick off our vacation care program with a day full of joy and adventure! ✨ Today, we explored the stunning Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, and what a fantastic time we had! 🌿💖

The highlight of our day was a delightful treasure hunt! The kids had a blast roaming through the gardens, hunting for clues, and uncovering hidden treasures. 🕵️‍♀️ Their smiles and laughter truly made the day special!

We can’t wait for more wonderful experiences and happy moments during our vacation care program. Stay tuned for more updates and magical adventures ahead!
