❄️ Winter is here (well kind of - it is Brisbane 😂) ❄️
So what’s the deal with footed onesies?

Well if they are too tight, they can affect your baby’s circulation (and they already have an immature system).

They can also activate a baby’s stepping reflex which makes it harder to achieve that optimal or ‘M’ position. Basically it looks like a lot of planking and leg straightening 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you are using a woven wrap or ring sling, it can also mean that they pop their seat!

So what are your options? 👇🏻

1. Keep rocking the onesies but go up a size AND/OR pull fabric from thighs to toes to create more space.

2. Change or choose non-footed onesies. This also allows you to monitor circulation.

3. Choose pants and socks for warmth.

And most importantly, enjoy those babywearing snuggles 🥰

Kangatraining KIDS are a creative movement class that is fun and really encourages their own sense of movement 🪩

Here’s my sons favourite action song 🎶

We combine fun warm up and action songs (like this one) with a circuit full of equipment to work on balance, spatial awareness and other gross motor skills and then we finish with one last group activity that includes a prop to tap into their creativity 🥳

The Babywearing Sleepy Hands 😴
I love watching babies hands in our Kangatraining class as they slowly drift off to sleep while their mum gets a safe postnatal workout 🙌

It’s such a joy to see those little hands relax and surrender to being content and asleep with the person they love most 🥰

I used to know my kids were asleep when the toys they had to hold fell to the ground - what do your babies do?

For all parents, having a baby is a huge transition and major life changer. Finding something that can make the transition and parenting in general easier definitely helps!

For me, I really discovered all the benefits of babywearing when my first daughter was four months old and went through that major developmental leap 😩

All she wanted to do was be held in my arms and with my dodgy back I quickly started looking for options to meet her needs and to save my back.

Not only did babywearing save my back, I also found the ease and joy that it could bring to my day. For mums, there are specific benefits just for us 🥰
