Just love this .. as we rushed through the Sydney Botanical Gardens this grabbed my eye. Quick snap shot, no idea what it is, though I’ll drop the image into Google lens. Does anyone have any experience growing this. It looks pretty damn hardy. I’m hoping it grows quickly. It quite a statement

I love a shadows ..
Shadow as a design element applied to landscape design, can embellish, and even enhance the subject .. Shadow, for me gives an unexpected artistic appeal..
like in this photo, that I find particularly beautiful..
Have you played with shadow in your landscape design ?
With our beautiful coloured bitumen only days away I’m now thinking of shadow opportunities to cast over its speckled beauty.
Do I need to get out more ? 😂 romancing coloured stone aggregate..

Todays vibe … I’m drawn to all these botanicals. Botanicals in general. I’m a wannabe florist. We are going to take the time to think about the landscape and what we want to plant here. I dream of wandering the block and picking leaves, exotics to make weekly arrangements. It gives me so much joy. I rarely buy flowers now from the florist due to the expense and the fact they don’t last very long. Lucky for us we have a monstrous Monstera, which is great start, so guess what’s gracing our table.
