Australian Geography Competition The Competition promotes the study of geography in Australian secondary schools.

It is open to students studying geography, or an integrated social science that includes geography, in all years of secondary school. Initially held in 1995, the Competition has a wide appeal to students, their families and teachers. In 2016 it attracted entries from approximately 66,000 students. Congratulations to our team representing Australia at the International Geography Olympiad! The team achieved one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Ben Bauer - Bronze Medal
Dylan Phelps - Bronze Medal

In addition to their individual achievements, the team also achieved third place in the Poster Competition!

The 2025 International Geography Olympiad is currently underway in Bangkok, Thailand. The team consisting of Ben Bauer, Dylan Mathew, Dylan Phelps and Ollie Roxburgh, along with leaders John Tasker and Michael Da Roza are doing an amazing job representing Australia.
