On Wednesday, IES College hosted a career panel featuring professionals from a variety of industries. From healthcare to technology, defence to wildlife conservation, our students were able to hear first-hand what it takes to succeed in these dynamic fields.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Year 12 Art Exhibition: Exhibition 24! 🎨✨ It was amazing to see so many friends and family celebrating the incredible talent of our Year 12 Art students. Special shoutout to Christian and Eliza for winning the People's Choice Awards! 🏆👏

Over the course of the two-year IB Visual Art program, our students have diligently crafted their artworks, resulting in a captivating exhibition that showcases their talent, skill development, conceptual thinking, and social commentary.

We invite you to an evening of art and reflection on Wednesday, 11 September, starting at 5:30 PM. Canapés and beverages will be provided.

The exhibition will take place on Level 7 of the IES College campus. Please be aware that wheelchair access is limited, as the only entry to Level 7 is via a staircase.

Earlier this month Yvette competed in the LTQ Brisbane Speech Competition in the French Category and won the Gold Award! She spoke fluently about entertainment, competing against 10 contestants from across the Brisbane region. Congratulations Yvette! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that our Year 10 Visual Arts student, Reeya, has won the WARP People's Choice Award! 🌟 Her design made a profound statement on global waste issues, showcasing her incredible talent and innovative vision at the WARP Fashion Show 2024.

Sharing and participating in other cultures is an important and enriching experience. However, we must be careful that our actions aren't leaning towards cultural appropriation. Learn the difference and let's continue to celebrate and embrace culture with understanding and respect.

Honouring Gladys Elphick during this NAIDOC week: a proud Kaurna and Ngadjuri woman who fought for human and women's rights. Her legacy inspires us every day.
