Albany Secondary Education Support Centre (ASESC) Gala Fundraising Night.

Delicious food, live music and auctions, all for a bargain price of $25

With less than two weeks to go it's more important than ever that you secure your ticket to the 2026 ASESC Fundraising Gala.

The Live and Silent Auctions are filled with truly sensational items such as generously donated vouchers for Karribank Tavern and Pullman Bunker Bay Resort.

There are hampers filled with various vouchers for Perth family fun, Denmark adventures and even Albany exploration and experiences. Jeans for Genes Day on 6th August 👖🧬

Staff and students can wear jeans for a gold coin donation 🪙

This wonderful cause helps fund research into genetic disorders

👖 Spencer Park Primary School is proud to be participating in Jeans for Genes Day! 👖

Students and staff are invited to wear their jeans to school on Thursday 6 August and bring along a gold coin donation.

All money raised will support Jeans for Genes and its important work helping children and families affected by genetic conditions.

We look forward to seeing everyone dressed in denim for this wonderful cause! 💙🩵

The WA Student Assistant Payment opens tomorrow.

Each primary school student is eligible to claim $150.

Your child's student number is available on their report.

The WA Student Assistance Payment opens Monday 20 July 2026.

Parents and carers of eligible students will be able to claim:

🔹$250 for each secondary student
🔸$150 for each primary school or Kindergarten student
🔹You will need your child's Western Australian Student Number to claim. This can be found on your childs NAPLAN or School Report.

Claims will be open from 20 July to 25 September 2026.

Most families will be able to submit their claim through the ServiceWA app. We encourage families to check their eligibility and submit their claim before the closing date.

After 8.5 wonderful years as Principal at Spencer Park Education Support Centre, and 22 years with the Department of Education, the time has come for me to retire. It’s hard to put into words the gratitude I feel for the incredible students, families, staff, and community who have been part of this journey. Together, we’ve celebrated achievements big and small, faced challenges with resilience, and created a place where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to shine. To my colleagues – thank you for your dedication, and passion. To our families – thank you for trusting us with your children and for being true partners in their learning. To the therapists and other dedicated professionals who have worked alongside us – your expertise, care, and commitment have made a world of difference in the lives of our students. And to our amazing students – you have been my greatest teachers and my daily inspiration. While I’m closing this chapter, I will carry the memories, laughter, and lessons with me always. Spencer Park ESC will forever hold a special place in my heart. 💛

We have sold out of Goodie boxes. We have some Fun boxes (big Freddo and Caramello Koala) and Freddo boxes remaining. If you want to try to sell a box (or 2) this week come and collect one.
