π Isla's smile says it all! π
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the children enjoy the fruits of their hard work. After helping to care for our garden, Isla was delighted to harvest and taste some of our beautiful bush tucker berries.
We love when all the hard work in the garden pays off and provides the goods! πΏπ Through our involvement in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, children are given opportunities to grow, harvest, explore and enjoy fresh produce, helping them develop a lifelong connection to healthy food and the natural world.
Moments like these are what it's all about. π

Passionate about children's wellbeing, they support our team in maintaining safe sleep and rest practices, creating calm sleep environments, and keeping up to date with best practice. They also play an important role in sharing knowledge and information with families to help support healthy sleep habits both at home and at the service.
Thank you, Miss Mandy and Miss Thinley, for championing such an important part of children's care and development! πβ

π Meet Our Team π
This week we're shining the spotlight on one of our wonderful Nursery Educators, Miss Royal has been part of the Story House family for an incredible 10 years! π
πΆ What does you love most about working in the Nursery?
Watching little personalities blossom and being part of children's very first learning experiences.
β¨ What is you Nursery Room superpower?
Staying calm and comforting little ones while creating a safe, happy, and fun environment for everyone.
πΆ What is your favourite milestone to witness?
Those exciting first steps! Watching babies gain confidence as they begin exploring the world around them is always a special moment.

One of the most rewarding parts of the role is building strong bonds with babies and having the privilege of watching them grow and develop every day.
π± What does quality care mean to you?
Creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to learn at their own pace.
π« And finally... what's your end-of-day survival snack?
Chocolate, Pringles, or coffee! βπ

This week, as we acknowledge National Reconciliation Week, our children have been engaging in meaningful experiences that encourage creativity, connection, and conversations around culture, identity, and belonging.
Through hands-on experiences like mark making and exploring different symbols and patterns, children are developing an understanding that stories, art, and expression can help us connect with one another and the world around us.
At Story House, we are committed to creating environments where children feel a sense of respect, inclusion, and curiosity about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures β not just this week, but every day.
βBridging Now to Nextβ reminds us that reconciliation is a journey we take together, through learning, listening, and meaningful action π€π€πβ€οΈ
