Today, our Educational Leader, Miss Mandy, and Early Childhood Teacher, Miss Maria, had the privilege of attending the Yalari Tea and Yarn event as part of NAIDOC Week.
The event brought people together to listen, learn and connect with Indigenous leaders and Yalari alumni, celebrating this yearβs NAIDOC Week theme, β50 Years of Deadly.β
Weβre grateful to have been part of these important conversations and look forward to sharing our learnings with our team as we continue embedding meaningful Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday practice. β€οΈπ€π

π Isla's smile says it all! π
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the children enjoy the fruits of their hard work. After helping to care for our garden, Isla was delighted to harvest and taste some of our beautiful bush tucker berries.
We love when all the hard work in the garden pays off and provides the goods! πΏπ Through our involvement in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, children are given opportunities to grow, harvest, explore and enjoy fresh produce, helping them develop a lifelong connection to healthy food and the natural world.
Moments like these are what it's all about. π
