SSS Band competed last week at the 2026 Gold Coast Eisteddfod. Congratulations to all members of the band and Mr U in taking out 2nd place 🥈 and a Gold Award!
Students have worked so hard under the dedicated teaching and guidance of Mr U and it is wonderful to see their efforts rewarded.

Multicultural Day Thursday 6 August - Visitor Sign in

A new process this year is for ALL visitors to sign in, if you intend on staying after the costume parade and performances (post 10:15am).

If a student is late - they are still required to obtain a late slip at the office!

The “sign in” marquee will be located outside the Administration Building from 10:15am – 12:00pm. Sign in after 12pm, visitors will be asked to sign in at the office. All visitors will be asked to wear a visitor label, adhered to their shirts, for staff to easily identify that they have signed in.

Staff will be asking those without the labels on to kindly make their way to the sign in area.

Reminder for students in Yr 4-6 who have signed up and parent consent has already been given.

Multicultural Day is being held this Thursday! Meal Deals are available on this day from the Snack Shack but must be ordered by 12pm today!

Does your child love a challenge? Southport State School students in Years 4–6 are invited to participate in the ICAS 2026 Academic Competitions.

📍 All competitions will be held at 7:45am and facilitated by a teacher in the Tech Lab.
