Today was such a beautiful and heartwarming day for our Pre-Prep children as we visited the residents at St Vincent’s Aged Care.
When we arrived, the children confidently stood together to perform their graduation songs and a special dance they have been practising. The residents were smiling from ear to ear, clapping along and clearly enjoying the performance. It was such a proud moment seeing how well the children remembered their moves and sang with joy.
Afterwards, we played some fun games together, creating plenty of laughter and connection across the generations. The children then handed out the cards they had made with so much love and care yesterday. Each card brought a smile (and in some cases, a happy tear) to the residents’ faces.
What was most special was watching the children take their time to sit down and have conversations with the residents. They asked questions, shared stories, and listened closely, showing so much kindness, empathy, and respect. These moments of genuine connection are what make experiences like today so meaningful.
