The safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of everything we do. 💜

We're proud to share that our entire team has successfully completed the Mandatory Foundations of Child Safety Training and proudly supports the Statement of Shared Commitment to Child Safety and Wellbeing.

This training reinforces our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels respected, protected and empowered to thrive.

As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, our educators and staff will also be completing the Advanced Child Safety Training, which will be released on 31 July.

At My Cubby House Early Learning, our educators have embarked on an exciting Music Therapy Professional Learning Journey to explore how music, rhythm, and movement can support children’s self-regulation, emotional wellbeing, and social development.

We have been privileged to work alongside Monica from Queensland Premium Allied Health (QPAH), who has been facilitating a guided practice series focused on using music as a powerful tool to help children understand and manage their emotions.

This unique professional learning experience has included mentoring, hands-on coaching, and in-classroom support, allowing educators to develop practical skills alongside children in real learning environments. This week, our team learned how to incorporate ukuleles, rhythm, songs, and group music experiences into daily activities to foster connection, engagement, emotional regulation, and a sense of belonging.

The guided coaching approach has provided educators with opportunities to build confidence, practice new strategies, and receive personalised support to effectively use music as part of their teaching practice.

A huge thank you to Monica and Queensland Paediatric Allied Health for sharing their expertise and supporting our educators on this journey. We are excited to continue embedding these strategies into our program and seeing the positive impact they have on children's wellbeing and development. 💙✨

🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week at My Cubby House ❤️💛🖤

This week, our children have been learning, listening and connecting through culture as we celebrate NAIDOC Week together.

Through our Billie and Aunty Jean’s Bush Tucker Jarjums Program, we were fortunate to explore the beautiful tradition of weaving and learn more about Indigenous culture, storytelling and connection to Country. Our little hands have been busy gathering, soaking, washing and preparing natural fibres while discovering that meaningful things take time, patience and care.

A heartfelt thank you to Billie Musk and Aunty Jean for sharing such valuable knowledge and creating such a meaningful learning experience for our children, families and educators. Your guidance helped us celebrate culture, community and the importance of learning from Elders.

As this year's NAIDOC Week theme reminds us, every story, every connection and every shared experience helps shape our future together.

✨ Little Hands, Big Stories.

🌿 Nature Play Adventures are Back! 🌿
Our Pre-Prep children are getting ready for our much-loved Nature Play program in Term 3! 🌱✨

Through exploring our local parklands, the children connect with the natural environment, discover the beauty of our bushlands, and begin to learn about the rich Indigenous history of the land we live and learn on.

These experiences support curiosity, respect for nature, and a deeper understanding of the world around us 🌏💛

We can’t wait to see all the exploring, wondering and learning unfold!
